Hi my name is smokeyou and I have cbids addiction. I buy anything I want as long as I don't overbid!

I am selective with Gurkha! They are hit or miss! So far titan and extreme are NOGOS.

Getting back to the OP, it depends on how you bid. If you have a limited amount you can spend it could be a problem. I don't think I ever had an order over $ 300 and I don't bid every week. I would guess that when I do bid, I watch or put in as many as 200 bids and end up winning about 10 to 20. The key is to establish what your maximum bid will be and to know what the items is actually worth - and that applies to cigars as well as any other auction. Too many people get involved in the bidding frenzy and end up spending more than they wanted and some bid high enough to get some publicity on our overbid threads. When you buy more than you wanted, and do so at a good price- you win - take a few weeks off and celebrate.

Don't know how the Gurkhas got inserted into this conversation, but I never had one unravel of the 300 + I've smoked. I like some Gurkhas, but the Titan is not one of those. I seem to remember the Titan II being a little better, but neither are on my buy list and if I have any left they will go in the yard gar humidor when found. I have around 350 Gurks on hand and most of those are ones I liked.

Which Gurkhas do you like? The only one I have liked is collectors gold, which I believe is now extinct.
