30056 - Borkhum Riff Original in a cob

First bowlful from a new (to me at least, may have been on the shelf a while) pouch. Burned really hot, let go out, relight and immediately heated bowl way up.

30057 - C&D Habana Daydream.... very rich and satisfying smoke
30058 C&D Old Joe Krantz... seems very old-school, basic raw flavors but perfectly blended.
First time out with both blends, will be keeping these in rotation. Especially Habana Daydream. One of the better blends I've smoked recently by far

30059 McClelland Blackwoods flake been smoking a lot of it lately. Very good Virginia. Little moist so rub it out and let it sit for a day.

yeah, I've been trying it in a bunch of different pipes lately. Tastes great in every one. I guess I'm pretty nic-tolerant as the heavier stuff is usually what I gravitate to.

30060 - 2 parts 5 Bros./ 1 part perique. ...like I said. I love the extra nicotine but I'm carefull to not smoke them on an empty stomach. Even I have my limits. Cool

Hoyodude, does your 5 Bros burn really fast? Mine looks like its shredded and a full bowl tamped down really quick, and the whole bowlful lasted 1/2 as long as I thought it would.

30061 - CAO Black in the mini-cob (last night)
30062 - CAO Black in a MM cob (DGT)
30063 - 5 Bros
30064 - Bur's Scraps and Crap

30065 - 1/2 5 Bros & 1/2 H&H Vermont Meat Candy in a Mark Tinsky.

Bur - yes, I find any tobacco cut like this tends to burn fast. Pretty sure it's because being cut so fine there is more fuel-to-fire available compared to something more rough cut as it's just naturally more oxygenated.

Thanks, and seeing you mix it has me thinking, especially with some of the lighter old codger stuff I've accumulated.

If you like it before you add anything and you just want to amp up the power you should be pleased with the results. Nothing you do to a crap blend will help it. I find 5 Brothers also adds a kind of sweet nuttiness that I love. That works well combined with VA's and VA/Per's for my palate. Your mileage may vary.😎

30066 &-67~Rivendale inna MM CG, from Jackson Miss B&M one of the better aro's I've tried, mild caramel, vanilla and nut flavors but the tobacco runs the show... wife likes it is a + in my books.
30068&-70~ Happy Brown Bogie inna large canted egg bent Bari , use a butterfly cigar cutter (Xikar) for 1/8" slices, cut'em 4 ways and let dry a spell, kinda like square cut/ pebble, expands and will make a lengthy bowl.

Country Squire by chance? Dad and one of my little league coaches took me there as a kid, and when I get back through there I try to stop by. Good to see they are still open.

I think there is another place on Frontage Road near Northside Dr. I think that's where FGM gets some of his supplies he doesn't get here/Mothership or from N00Bs like me.

30071 - Daughters & Ryan Picayune in a Kaywoodie bent Rhodesian. Nice nutty flavor with some VA kick. I'm digging this company for some of the old school type blends they produce.

not that it may matter to anybody especially since Z said f*** it
but since Bur says it's bothering him and because I'm Asian, went back for the major number **** ups and fixed the order

Puffy jumped from 2410 all the way to 20411
then BUR (dayam n00d) jumped from 20735 to 29376 (prolly fat fingered it)

anyway, updated number

What's worse than a retired EOD tech with both ADD and OCD?

Planting subliminal suggestions for the math nerd Asian kid who's even worse OCD thanks to the Army!

Planning on burning the last of this flu crap out with a bowlful later tonight, and will happily add to the corrected count!

And on 5 Brothers, it is odd stringy stuff and I'm finding it burns too fast for my tastes by itself. Gonna start blending and testing with other baccy.

Are you kidding? I love the stuff. This is an old school smoke, too potent on it's own for many, but I dig it. Smooth and nutty with a little kick. Perfect for amping up a weaker blend that could use a little oomph. I buy more whenever I start running low!

3079 - SPC Plum Pudding in the mini-cob

Stuff lasted and lasted the whole drive to work this AM. Thought it was gonna be too dry and blaze away but it's a dense crumble cake. Got a bigger meer lined pipe packed for the drive home but think it might last all evening.

Other folks get longer burns from crumble cakes? Still a bit noob-ish on different baccies.

Better than the other cheapie cherry blends I have but not enough flavor to really make me a fan of flavoring. Maybe I'm just too uncultured to notice subtleties?
