When you get a new box of cigars, if the box is sealed in plastic do you open the plastic wrapper before storing them in the humidor to age? Do you open the box before aging? If the cigars are wrapped in cellophane individually in the box do you leave them in the cellophane or remove them for aging?

Sorry in advance for the noobie questions!

Generally, I would at least inspect what you have.......take off the plastic around the box.
If it's all good, close it up, and let em rest.

If they are expensive coobans, maybe someone else can help you, cause I've heard different things about aging those.

I did get two boxes of PSD4s recently. The boxes came sealed in plastic. I opened one to inspect them but haven't opened the other.

Always unwrap the box and inspect. Cigars are often shipped wet so they don't dry out in transit. That can mean mold grows along the way, and you want to take care of that before it spreads. Cellophane on individual cigars doesn't matter, but if you have cello on your PSD4s, they aren't PSD4s.

Thanks! The PSD4s are not in celo but I did get a box of RP Edge that are.
