Hi all, I'm having an issue with the temp in my humi. I live in Florida, and its hotttt in the summer. I keep the house at 79 and that is what the humi is at. Is this going to be a problem?. I have ho problem with the humidity its at 71 .Should I be concerned with bugs hatching, and should I put the sticks in the freezer over night ? Confused .
Thanx, me.

I've always been told that the bugs grow starting at 72... With that being said I'd give my hygrometer a +\-1 so you easily could be at it... Your home being kept at 79 is likely your culprit.. Since you likely don't have a basement if you have a beer fridge in the garage you could toss the humi in there to help during the summer months. Maybe try putting your humi out of the sunlight and closer to an AC register...

Real refrigerator bad idea.

Thermoelectric wine fridge set to 70F much better idea. A compressor fridge strips all the humidity out of the air inside.

Do you have a cooler room in the house?

Does it cool off at night? If the house goes 65 at night and 75 during the day, a cooler for your main storage should keep it from getting too warm so long as you don't open it.

The simple answer is just freeze every shipment for 72 hours........now if you have inventory that has not been frozen, start there.I have been freezing every single,5'r and box for years. No bugs..........my last outbreak was in 08 IIRC,West Texas summers are brutal. That's when I started freezing

Sounds like a good idea, only problem is shelves are not tall e nuff, and I have a habit of purchasing a bottle to replace the one I just finished.
Wait a minute....I could put the sticks in a baggie, then they will fit. Would that work ?
