Nice! How long have you been seasoning? I hope to have my guni-dor finished within the next week or two and start seasoning. How may cubic feet is the cabinet?

Looks good but I'd move it out of direct sunlight when you put the cigars in.

NJ- so far 2 days - it is holding at about 72% now for the last 24 hours. Just removed one water bowl. I think it took on alot of humidity in my basement where it sat for a couple days when I sealed it. I have beads coming today so I think a few more days should be good!!

DED - not sure why it looks like the sun is hitting it- maybe angle of the camera? It is out of direct sunlight. Had to move it form first position because of that!! Thanks. -Paul

Did you glue/caulk the cedar in? What did you use to seal the door? Foam rubber strips? Not sure if silicone caulk is the best choice for putting the cedar in the cabinet, not sure if there will be any smell residue. Maybe just let it air for a couple of days before seasoning.

I used Gorilla wood glue and a Kreg Jig to install all the interior cedar including the shelves. I also used a Low VOC clear caulk to seal all the glass. No stain or poly on the inside and a water based poly on the outside. The cedar is all 1/2 in thick stock that I had a local mill ( Bristol Valley Hardwoods ) cut for me. The doors still have the old handle/latch with the skeleton key that I wanted to keep so I install a piece of the spanish cedar to use as a stop edge for the door and used a rubber 1/4 thick 3/8 wide seal (brown-home depot) around the whole door openingexcept hinge side. It seems to be a really good seal and so far holding nicely!!-Paul

Didn't think it would be so quick.... Is it possible this thing is holding steady in three days? Seems to be doing great- just a bit nervous that it settled so quick... Any opinions?

It's possible IF the seal is great and the humidity was decent before you closed it.

But, It's also possible if you're running that Humicare Pro while measuring. I use two of those in my cabinet and they do a great job of maintaining humidity.

Oh, that's gray? I thought it was blue.

Either way, should be good to go!

You should post a picture of it filled. It'll be fun!

I heard there were a bunch of moochers over his place and that is why it is empty now, either way Harley is low.
