I've got a Missouri Meerschaum on the way still, but this beautiful little handmade Briar was gifted to me by a kind fellow that I met on Etsy. Small, for an easy, quick smoke. Feels good in the hand! Can't wait to light up.

Edited for increased diversity of adjectives: nice is not the only descriptive word out there...

Nice! I messed with pipes last winter. It was definitely different then cigars all around but I did enjoy it, for some reason I have not gone to it very often since springtime. Still have a pipe I won on here never used yet....I should think about using it. There is some good info you can gather from the what briar you smokin thread as well.

I hear that thing a lot, it seems like there's not a ton of overlap between avid pipe smokers and avid cigar smokers. You're one or the other. I'm interested in seeing what sort I am!

Depending on what pipe it is, if you decide you're not interested in trying it out, I'd be happy to trade you for it...

I've been poking on the Briar thread, I'll give it some more eyeballing once I've at least gotten the pipe broken in!

Before our remodel and the addition of the mancave I never smoked cigars in the house but my wife never made a fuss about the pipe.I still smoke the pipe freely in the den and maybe once or twice a week I slip off to the mancave for a cigar.I'm ambidextrous,a switch hitter.............When driving I always turn to the cigar but in the house I probably smoke 10-15 bowls a week.FYI,I smoke nothing with latakia in it period and if I did I wouldn't even burn that foul smelling stuff in my mancave.

Yeah, latakia sticks around. I've grown to enjoy it, but even though the pipe is my driving smoke, I don't smoke English in the truck.

From the small sampling size that I have tried so far I do remember that Bullseye Flake and Christmas Blend were my favorites.

My limited experience is since I like medium to full cigars, I like English blends. Most the aro's either taste cheap or soapy, or just don't have much to them.

The only exception is I also like burley-based old codger blends-Prince Albert, Carter Hall, etc. I even won a big tub of Granger 100% burley on here and while happy to share considering how bombed back to the stone age the FOGS on here have hit me, I think I've given too much of it away. Rarely see it on CBid anymore
