Anyone out there have issues with the shipping times here. I won a lot and it shipped out on 8-18. As of today it is still in transit and to me that is just a joke. Considering the temps and dry weather there is no doubt the cigars are either ruined or very very dry and will need to rest for month not to mention all the oils (Flavor) lost and the character of the cigar greatly impacted. I sent Cigar Bid an email day or so ago asking about this and they did as expected ZERO reply. Just curious anyone else feed, I feel the customer is being screwed we are paying for quality product and they are shipping it so slow its ruining our merch. I know I know they will be fine right. Well I feel otherwise, they are shipping a delicate product and this is more less destroying it and making it taste like crap. I should not have to condition for a month now and hope for it to taste ok, that is BS.

Cheers.

You're absolutely correct..........they should hire a bunch of little flying fairy's that deliver them directly to your door in less than 6 hours after ordering.

Wow your a genius. So your saying I should buy a humidification pack to ship someones product to me. Um no, that would be the job of the seller chief, go troll elsewhere.

Your right, 8 days shipping is totally normal and accepted, all you guys sitting on east coast getting your items in 2-3 days talk like this but I can assure you if you waited 8 days while your product baked in the sun you would be just fine. Hey, go stick a 20 dollar cigar out in your backyard in the sun for 8 days then smoke it, you obviously have zero clue as to cigars.

You know what, if my order came in 3-4 days that is just fine. But to sit and say 8 days is good well then your not being honest because you know that is a very long time for a product that does not do well in heat and all.

I am sure when you get hosed that you will be just as chipper.

was the shipping satisfactory the first 17 months when you had nothing to write?
Do they offer expedited shipping for an upcharge?

It feels like a competitor set up a bunch of accounts a while back, and are now using them to make specious claims. Anyone else thinking this is fishy?

My order was completed yesterday, mailed yesterday, and should arrived tomorrow. That's how it has always been with Cbid, they're always great. Also, I don't order super frequently, so I'm sure they don't care about me enough to try and make my orders go extra easy.

Sounds like this is an issue with USPS, UPS, or Fedex. (Whoever is the delivery company)

CBID's had some terrible problems lately with getting items out of their warehouse and getting all of the items in the box that are supposed to be shipped but you can't blame them for the shipping company losing or delaying a delivery.

I have been using CBID for years, and most of the time zero issue. What I was upset over is that my order left PA on the 18th and I finally got it today around 4PM the 25th. I was sort of let down since I know there is a good change these cigars suffered some damage, its 110 out around me and they sat in for days in town for what reason I have zero clue. In the past usually things come in 3-4 days which is totally fine, I understand it takes some time. I was just curious if people saw a change, I have a family member who ordered after me and got his cigars 3 days prior to me and his auction ended after mine was set to ship. So anyway, people on here jump on people as bots and or quacks for caring about their cigars and loving the hobby. Been buying for 20 years all over place online and local so not some idiot kid and his first order.

I also saw others with similar issue so this is just not me.

Thanks for being civil, appreciated.

If it was sitting at a processing facility it's not like the box was stuck out in direct heat and direct cold for three days. There were at least 60+ hours that passed where it was in the processing facility which are normally 75-78 degrees because they have to make thise places moderately comfortable if people are gonna work in them. Additionally the majority of sticks you get from cbid come in cello. Eight days is still not terrible for a stick to sit when it's in cello.

I live on a remote Army base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Takes up to 14 days to get my shipments.

Never had an issue.

YMMV.

yeah, but that's a humid climate. resting for 14 days on a ship probably does them some good.

Wait, CBID shipped your cigars in a timely manner, but due to some issue with the shipper they sat in your town over 2000 miles away for days(your words not mine) and you blame CBID. I bet if you tried smoking one of these and it was in deed ruined if you called CBID they would try to make it right, even if they can't control all the goofy things the postal service does. . .

But you're right, coming on to the forum designed to talk about cigars and ripping the host of said forum who has treated all of the forum members greatly in the past is probably the best approach to getting resolution. d'oh! d'oh!

I can tell you from a small business owner there are times for absolutely zero rhyme or reason that things take forever! Knock on wood I've never had any issues with my short stint here on CBID, I've enjoyed the gars AND mostly the guys... I gotta admit my ass was a little chapped the first post I made and guys razed me... But the azzhats mean well just took me some
Time to figure it out..... I wouldn't knock CBID for this one once it's out of their hands they can't control anything.... Only thing I'll say is maybe they can look in to shipping with a boveda pack to the folks on the west coast.... Might not be a bad idea...

Uh.. no. They come by plane.

I think they go from PA to Chicago and then to Atlanta then to Denver and then Anchorage over to San Fransisco down to LA then to Houston and then to Hawaii and then out here.....

If they shipped it usps, have them change your carrier to ups. if they shipped it ups, have them change it to usps. Getting mad at C-bid doesn't fix the problem. The problem was the shipping company.

Just sayin'

I spoke to one of the ladies at CBID, I asked if I can pay or do something to allow for faster shipping since I live in a crappy place with bad temps. She told me sorry but there are no options when it comes to shipping. So I tried and it is what it is. People in here are telling me to get faster shipping etc or pay but CBID told me there are no options to pick from. They ship via UPS then change it to USPS and then deliver, that is the main issue they are changing hands and adding another 2 days to the transition, not sure why UPS cannot deliver direct but again I was told no options.

Thanks for reply.

disappointing ending for sure, but you did it the right way.

as for all the crap you took here, it's really just a weird kinda love. Not NAMBLA weird, but unlike normal love. I should probably stop saying love...

get a heavy coat and stick around and fight some more...it's fun.

or don't.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. LOL I took a good beating but in the end it is all good. I know all too well I probably jumped the noob gun with posting about an issue since in the end it was probably better to address with people directly than in an open forum. Anyway, just a cigar bum who likes to drink and smoke at the end of the day, did not intend to jack the forum over my issue was just venting.

Cheers

Much better.

CBid uses UPS as their default shipping company. But, for the those of us in know there is a better way if you're will to pay $7.95 (???) more per order. If you call customer service the fine ladies at CBid will switch you over to USPS Priority Mail. Also choose to have your winning bids shipped weekly.

I haven't bought from here in a while since I semi-quit smoking about a year ago due to health reasons. But, before then I bought around 200 cigars a month from here for a few years. I chose Tuesday as my processing date. Like clock work my smokes arrived on Saturday.

On a different subject, if you haven't already done so I highly recommend you get some large capacity storage. Most the folks that actively post here have collections that include at least a few hundred cigars to as many as 5-6 thousand. When I stopped buying, I had at least a 2 year supply. Nothing smokes better than a well aged cigar, provided it wasn't a crappy cigar to begin with.

That being said, there are some real good buys here if you know what to look for. But, until you have passed some time here and made some friends with the azzholes, me included, who pig piled you, you'll spend a lot of time and money buying crappy smokes for 2-3 $. However, after you've traded with a few folks here and found a way to fit in, those same azzholes will be most helpful.

Oh, and I've been in a real $hitty mood for a couple of weeks. So don't mind me too much.

Thanks for the info, I had mine set wrong so will switch shipping days to Tue to see if that helps. I had zero idea you could call and ask to switch, for few bucks more yes that is worth the money to have them arrive faster and remain in good shape, will do on next order. I have a large wine humidor right now. I needed one with cooling since I live in a very hot zone so this works wonders with maintaining temps. I do need another since this one is full so I plan to snag one more so I can double my storage. I agree 100% with aging, I love to rest them for long time and smoke others while aging, etc. Excellent info regarding buying, will keep my ears open and try and pick up some tips around here.

Thanks again, appreciate the opportunity to hang around.

But those ARE the shipping terms you agreed too... According to the site the terms are that you will receive your pkg within 2-6 business days from the day it shipped..

And you received your pkg in 5 business days from the day it shipped..

So I don't understand the issue here...
