So, I've seen a lot of folks really like DE's MUWAT line and being a huge fan of Kentucky fire cured tobacco I've been giving them a spin. I've had a few Chunkys, a Fat Molly and now working my way through a 10'er of Kyotos. I don't get it. The smokiness and richness I am used to in quality pipe tobacco containing this leaf seems to be only barely there, for my palate. They're not a terrible smoke, actually fairly decent as a mild breakfast-like cigar, but definitely not the flavor bomb I was hoping for. Huh

I buy em to share.

They can be had cheaply at times, I've never found one poorly rolled, and they taste better than many cheap smokes and are heat tolerant for the aggressive puffer. Big win in my mooch gars.

I like em at times, they're a little different. Not something I sit n enjoy but smoked two over the weekend because they were one of the cheapos I brought along in my moochador and had too many things going on to light something great.

They're good, I'll take all the ones nobody wants.

They made these approachable to people who aren't as "into" fire cured tobacco as a regular latakia smoker.

The kyoto is as much as I care for, and I like latakia in my pipe here and there.

I've always liked San Andreas wrappers.....especially on the Jericho Hill and Undercrown.

...except Kentucky fire cured and Latakia are very different tobaccos, Jamie. Didn't realize they were both in there, can't taste any Latakia at all. That I might really enjoy.

Didn't care for the Fire cured @ all....don't really like much from DE except the +11's and the Baitfish in the Muwat line, those two I could smoke the chit out of.

Edit,

I forgot I DID enjoy an Undercrown toro while recently in MI......thanks to Mikekoz13

i like the hamhocks exclusively in the kfc line
not amazing but a decent change of pace and easy for anyone to smoke and get some "flavor"
the baitfish have been hit or miss for me
one of the worst cigars ive smoked this summer was a baitfish with a couple years rest

Have you tried a Nightcrawler yet?
I think I like them even more than Baitfish.
Used to be able to get them for $26 for a 10-pack........$23 even...........them days are over.

Chris, I know they're not the same tobacco.....but people who don't smoke pipe don't r really understand the difference and I used the two terms in a generic way.
