Anyone tried these? I like the Exodus 1959. It was a cigar I liked when I first started smoking them, and it still has an appeal as a fishing cigar... where if I hook into something requiring all of my attention I won't mind spitting it out, but I still enjoy smoking them.

I'm curious to try these, but I'd like an opinion or two first.

Smoked them when they first came out and they were not a bad cigar, but haven't had one since...so not sure @ this point in time.

I have had some of the black, just as good as the Exodus 1959. Never tried the red.

A flat one dimensional disappointing cigar.

Torano used to make quality cigars. They went the way of CAO.

I'd never buy another.

Bought a box of the 59's years ago and found them to be a decent yard gar. Bought another box a year, smoked a couple then sent the rest to the sandbox.

What DMV said, they sold out too and went downhill. When Charlie's dad passed they lost some direction I think, Charlie is a good guy too.

Torano used to roll some of the better Gurkhas too.

Smoked that Vault toro this afternoon. Red and Gold Label and a red foot band that said "Blend D-042". Got a little touch of sweet flavor that was very short lived. I didn't think it was a very good smoke.

+1
Not terrible, the several I tried...............just not worth the coin..........better yard gars out there for less.
And, not saying I'm an elitist like some of the azzhats here..........but I've become pretty picky as to my "yard gars".

Funny... I once had around 1200 Havanas in my humidor and wouldn't smoke anything else.

Some years ago I lost the ability to taste all the little nuances I used to taste, so now it's either good or bad. Brick wall

It's interesting the way taste changes.

I miss those nuances, part of why I stopped collecting/aging smokes.
I thought I may have killed my taste buds as I escalated in strength over a few years. I came back down to just north or south of medium in my smoking but never really regained that tasting ability.

Just a theory.
