Has anyone tried the Torano Salutem? I had one a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. I remember it having a nice chocolate brown, oily wrapper. I think it was the Gordo (60 ring guage). I think I'm gonna get a 5-pack.

FYI, the Torano family sold out the entire operation to a huge cigar conglomerate. From what I've been told, it was layoffs, business shutdown, and handing over the recipes and trademarks to said huge conglomerate.

Huge conglomerates are known for corner-cutting and making "optimizations" to save money. So just be aware that the blends may or may not remain the same as they were before.

That totally sucks! I'll ask around my local cigar shops and see if the quality has changed.

Good luck. Please let us know what you find out!

I love this forum. We can all share and help each other with knowledge we'd otherwise not have.
