Ok, she told me it was ok to tell the story so here goes.
We always have The Christmas Story playing on Christmas day during our activities.
Our daughter was about 10ish (28 now) and the frozen pole scene is on.
Her- can that really happen?
Me- you bet.
Her- nuh uh.
Me- I'm tellin you, kiddo, it can happen.
She commences to head over to the kitchen and open the freezer door.
Me- Don't do it
Me- Not a good idea, honey
Me- Hey everybody, LOOK!!!
She sticks her little tongue to the inside of the door..
Me- All be dayum.
Her- Moomph, Aluump, Helph, Whadido, Craph. MUMM!!
Me and everyone else just freakin dying laughing while I'm trying to get a glass of water to thaw her off.
She can't wait and rips her tongue off leaving the perfect little circle of skin on the door.
She didn't cry, instead started with one those giggle fits that last for an hour.
So I took a sharpie and circled the frozen girl tongue and wrote her name next to it.
We laugh about it every year.
Best Christmas ever.
