I picked up Theo of them on the first day they came out. 22&23$ each. Pretty pricey but damn sure not $50-60 a pop.

I was passing through Richmond VA, they were sitting right next to some supposed CC Cohibas on their counter.

I got a good amount from a place in Florifa. Haven't smoked them yet. Thinking about going and picking up more of the Oscuros I saw for $30 a pop. A little pricey but they're hard to find too.

Bought some in Tennessee at $20/pop. Smoked one so far and it was ok but nothing exceptional.

Had one of the Opus Lost City's last year. Uniquely nice, interesting and polite - but not worth the coin.

It's like Wine - a nice $12 red is fine, and $18 red is nicer. For $25 you get really nice - but have reached the point of diminishing return. The $50-$100 really arn't worth it and sometimes just aren't that good.

Of cource if I have the green I wouldn't even pull the cork on anything less that $150 a bottle. I would leave the low price swill for the poor folk.....

Yes that's what I bought and smoked. They are probably like most Opus and they are much better with 4-5 years of age.

Also got a box of EOTS for $279 there.

Yeah, I'll pass. Never had a Fuente I'd give you $2 for, and I've tried most of the line, including the nutty-expensive ones.

The EOTS come in boxes of 20 if you were asking about those.

All this talk of Opus X, I've never had one before. So I stopped by my local shop and picked up a 3 pack of Chateau de la Fuente Rare Estate Reserve 1992. Was that a good choice, tucked them away so I still haven't smoked one yet.

Sounds like you bought the 3 pack in the nice metal sleeve (makes for a nice little carry case). Turn it over and it should tell you the size (ie. Robusto, Perfeccion X, or Reserva de Chateau....basically a Churchill size). All packaging says "Chateau de la Fuente Rare Estate Reserve 1992".

Probably cost you around $70 for the three then you have an Opus X. Smoke one now and then again in 6-12 months. This will give you a different taste.

Thanks, burnem2. Yes this is the metal sleeve, they are Perfecxion, 6 1/2 x 52. These were only $55, which I thought sounded like a good price considering what I've been reading online. Might go get a few more.

Definitely a good price as my B&M is currently charging $63. Smoke one and if you like you can pick up some more. BTW, these always make good trade bait. Try the RdC size if in stock.
