Counting the days til it's warm enough to get the kayaks out again, in the meantime I'm working on the trailer to transport them ( adding a second tier so we can take all four boats @ once ) I have the parts cut to size and painted now I just need to bolt them to the trailer. Only one of our boats have rod holders, I'll probably add @ least one to the others.

I feel ya bro. Now as a retiree I don't have work as an issue but I did get a cortisone shot that is sidelining me for a bit. Conditions on the treasure coast (Florida) are perfect today. Hence the whiskey and cigars

What happens then? I know March 1 rock fishing opens up again... so I'll be fishing La Jolla in March fuh sho.

I'm just excited for the water to get into the mid-60's = more active fish.

You guys get a march 1 opening? We technically get may 1st opening, but that has started a month early the last 2 years...

Yessir... I have the link: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Fishing/Ocean/Regulations/Groundfish-Summary

Northern, mid, and southern CA look like they all have different closure times. Only 2 months for us.

I did not know you weren't supposed to fish for ground fish in more than 360 feet of water, though. Think

New fishing regs... looks like we're all down to 2 ling cod once again... but we finally get 1 canary after a 16 year prohibition... i threw a really nice one back to the seagulls last year so I'm happy about that...

And central is finally opened up to 300ft, so the first couple months of the season are going to be sweet!
