I just received my prompt and perfect shipment of 2 boxes of Olivas. After all these years, I never took a look at the shipping label, until today. My smokes came from "Meier and Dutch". Ya think these are two guys in the shipping department, or some corporate mothership, I've never heard of?

I'd never heard of them...but a quick spin around their website and it is eerily familiar....Bethlehem PA....5 Vegas....Skandinavian Tobacco Group....not sure it they are more like cigar.com...or cigarsinternational...or pipesandcigars....the corporate pretzel relationships revolving around CI are forever confusing...either, we're the same (CI), or we just share a warehouse (cigars.com), or we're sorta the same, almost, but not quite (pipesandcigars)....Looks like D&M is just another piece in a puzzle that we aren't supposed to talk about without whispering

Yes. I remember a CS on here ranting about how CI was different from cigarbid and that they only shared a warehouse. And then defending CI as if was the same company. We mention CI ALL the time on here without a word, and yet there are supposed to be absolutely no competitor references.

Think

It's a real puzzler.

I'll say this: The color scheme of Meier and Dutch's website design appears to be based around . . . Platinum

Meier and Dutch wholesale cigar distributors has the same address as CBid. "Sharing space with CI" is "fake news" in my opinion. It may be the actual corporate structure has more arms than an octopus. With the enormous amount of money flowing in daily for cigars, multiple pockets and a convoluted corporate veil makes sense, from a business standpoint. I suppose we don't have a need to know, but we do know now. Wait, there's a guy with a ski mask knocking on my door.

So there's a special club that uses this Platinum-colored site?

And the details come from Trish?

Did Trish and Sven decline to your request to turn over their tax returns?

You can't get cigar prices from M&D unless you're registered, so I did. My registration is "under review". This is a little creepy....

if you don't have a tobacco license, you probably won't hear back... my guess is md didn't do the same half-brained software update cbid did and so md is helping them out with shipping while they catch up...

winner, winner, winner...

Tell him what he's won, CBid...

A NEW CAR!!!

*the aforementioned car is fictitious. You, in fact, have won nothing but the admiration of one or two posters with questionable moral character.

I don't know but I'm sure you'll be "disappeared" for mentioning them.
