Yeah, this one is real interesting because I can see no quantity listed at all, anywhere. Cbid is in full failure mode.

This is an interesting topic. I assume people that overpay on here don't know about other cigar sites and think that since this is an auction site, it will always be the best deal. Either that or these people have been smoking too much wacky weed.

Sheesh, not too long ago, I grabbed 20 of the Petite robs for around $3 ea. Heck, only paid just over $5 for the 1922 box pressed torps.

But with that said, remember boys and girls, the over bidders help our beloved Cbid keep the lights on, so maybe we should be applauding them, instead of laughing at them. Just a thought.

The quick-buy price was $3 over the list on the mother ship, and the bidders are not done yet...

Guess I'll go back exclusively to my briars for a few months...

All those tax returns and the post apocalyptic winter blues that seem to generate Spring fling overbidding will be over soon... Back to normal around June. Just like last year. And the year before.

My shrink keeps telling me that I'm not a loser that I am winner and to do thinks in life that reinforce this. So I always overbid to win. And I'm going to enjoy being a winner until I run out of money.

Just won a decently discounted box of CAO . No huge 50% deal like somebody mentioned here earlier, but $20 off the CI price, even with shipping. I'll take that. But, yeah, got beat on a Bueso sampler. Would a had to throw 21 to win, it's only 20 on CI. Not going down that slope

Nice to see that things out on the bidding side of this website are still insane. Smmfhatfm that used to be cbid. This forum is all this place has going for it anymore. I know horse I hadn't looked at any auctions that I usually watch was hoping to see some normalcy. 2 Tatuaje auctions and a 5 pack of Oliva V dbl robustos with a bid to win of $43. Gonz Dammit. Buying hiatus continues.....

Yes this year bid prices are more extreme than I can ever remember. I did buy 2 items at auction last month in one week, but adding anything to that week's buy would have been an overbid.

I won 3 LA AURORA 5-6 packs with a DVD
At a decent price about 4 weeks ago and a
BUESO SAMPLER OF 6? At a decent price....
But every other bid...maybe 20-35 were lost because I only bid 50-70% of the mothership price...like I always did from 2005-14...

^^^ that "dog don't hunt round here ...any-mo".....

I will use them as gifts.

As mentioned elsewhere and earlier much can be explained by the number of auctions offered now compared to before. The smaller supply equal or perhaps greater (due to pending FDA regulation) demand the higher the price....
Q
PS Even if the demand is a bit lower due to frustrations after the great cigar catastrophe of 2017 cbid's number of auctions is substantially lower than before.

FFFS this is like AR-15 prices after sandy hook. 30 rd. steel GI mags were $99.99 on cheaper than dirt. Now a magpul gen2 30 rd. pmag is $8 on sale at some places. Fun to sit back and watch the insanity of it all.
