Kids today. It's not their fault really, they're just kids. It's our fault for not teaching them proper.

The other day my kid's friend was over and his car was a mess. I told him I'd help fix the problem and sent him to Autozone with a shopping list. Kid doesn't know what end of a wrench to grab but that 's not the biggest problem - it's units of measurement. I'm not talking SAE vs. metric either. I'm referring to the universal unit of measurement (doesn't matter if you're Chinese, Burmese, Argentinean, etc.). The kid is fighting to get the water pump back on and because my job is to supervise (teach to fish) I say, "move it over this way a c&*t hair." He stops and just looks at me with that, "what did you just say" look. I again say, "move it over to the right a c&*t hair and he grins, moves it over and inserts the bolt. Now when was it that the universal standard of measurement stopped being used with our kids? There's the CH, the DCH (dirty) and the RCH (red) as far as I know - there may be more. Either way, they were all fine and discerning units of measurement back in the day. What other good stuff have we let slip by the wayside with the younger generation? fog

I was always taught CH was generic term for "little bit", Blonde CH meant "very little Bit", Red CH meant "a bit more than Blonde CH", and Black CH meant "even more than Red CH"..........I agree, Damn Kids and their "NEW MATH"

Hey, I resemble that remark! Furthermore, the moron line is a fine line, hence very easy to cross (for me). All this talk about shaved ones is also disturbing. Got to at least have a landing strip.

You're not supposed to chew it... it's like an ice cream cone, bro... you lick it so it doesn't drip down your hand.

That's why the strip is so good. You can choose to have the hair or to avoid it. Like a Chinese menu - chicken or pork? Maybe a combo platter - little bit of both.

As I recall L'il Susie Rottencrotch, circa mid 70's,had an afro downstairs that resembled either Chewbacca or Willie Nelson neither of which I desired to french kiss.Enter the 80's and ladyscaping .........although I still prefer a narrow and dimly lit landing strip, hairless pie is better than what L'il Susie offered in the 70's.

That, and telling everyone anything they do, or don't do, feel or don't feel. desire or don't desire is their choice, and they they should be celebrated.

I see the snowflakes melt down quickly in the real world, regularly.

I gave my kids subtle hints on behavior, they turned out okay.
When they got out of line I would say things like... "do that again and I'll rip off your arm and beat you to death with the bloody end!

Or,
"I'm gonna give you away to a gipsy family!"

Only had to resort to the belt a couple of times.Angel

My dad reminded me of gunny Hartman in Full Metal Jacket.

I have three brothers and two sisters, the original "wild bunch".

A good many parents today seem to think its okay to allow their kids to run amok, you see them everywhere.
I don't believe behavioral guidance should be delegated to others. If you allow kids to run wild then wild kids is what you get.

Participation trophies are total BS!
Winning is what matters. Kids need to learn early on that it takes effort to be a winner and should set goals for their own success.
Losing is only a temporary setback and should be seen as motivation to improve instead of rewarding failure.

This isn't about chicken, sweet sour or otherwise. I think we're talking about the #18 plate - General Tsao's Tongue Chow.

I like Dave Chappell's take. "Poosay is an aquired taste." To be honest, I put it up on the freshness gaurantee. I don't eat it unless she tastes it first.
