What a whiny cry-fest.

Maybe we should allow more days off from work or from school to mewl over last Novembers election.

TW is right. It isn't funny.
We used to have self respect regardless of who sat in the oval office.
Now we feel it's OK to blame an election for personal failures and low self esteem.

Trump is a clown. I get it. And I agree. But it isn't an embarrassment. It's a statement.
We WANT a clown rather than the circus act that occupies DC already.

And in the meantime we might fix a few things that need fixing.
Jobs.
Trade.
And yes, immigration.

I'm willing to hold my nose over the rest of the stuff.

Well, we're getting pretty much what I expected from Trump ... I'd not anticipated that the media would be so relentless in portraying him in the worst light possible and they're doing all they can to make it seem worse than it actually is ... you can bet your a** they would not have done anything even remotely like this to the pant-suited one if she'd prevailed, just as they did little or nothing to hold Obummer accountable for the destruction and extreme divisiveness he caused ...

I need ear muffs to read this thread. What, with all the shrill high pitched whining going on.

Let it be noted: April is 5 months after the election. Yet the tears still flow.
We joke about the "everyone gets a trophy" attitude. But the snowflakes in all reality can not accept the fact that they lost.
It's pathetic.
Yet funny.

Best part about it?
The argument from both sides has merit.

Trump is a fool on his twitter machine. He hasn't yet grasped the fact that he is supposed to govern, not manage.
But the media is absolutely the catalyst that motivates the left.
They are only intent on finding fault with anything he does or say, and they ignore anything positive.

So keep talking about his spray tan. Or his tweets. Or where his wife lives. Or how someone sits on a couch. Or all the other "important" stuff. Like being mad at Russia because they MIGHT have exposed the ACTUAL disgrace that is the democrat party.
Just try to keep it a couple octaves lower. For sanity's sake.

Keep calling it tears tail.

Reread my posts. I am mocking the idiot that you, yogurt head and Steve seem to love so much. I'm not crying about it. I'm enjoying it. It shows exactly what level of an idiot is able to con you into believing they can run a country (and stop twittering! Hah! You remember when he told his fan base just how super presidential he was gonna be once the election ended? Yeah... they fell for that one too!)

Calling it crybabies or pretending this is in any way related to "participation trophies" is just you trying to take attention away from just how horrendously, and hilariously bad he has been so far.

Be a man. Own up to how stupid the tweeter in chief is. Acknowledge how much golf he is going to play... how much business he's going to funnel to his own resort in Florida while costing all of us more to secure him... while his trophy wife purposely lives in another residence costing us even more... and his grown son and daughter get government staff positions (while supposedly managing his "arms length" assets)...

But no... because he has an "R" by his party you're gonna be super serious about this and pretend he's actually a real president....

I'm just embarrassed by the hot mess who to quote Dennis Green is who we thought he was. If embarrassed translates to sad for some so be it. I can actually understand why some that voted for him are so defensive. It goes back to the embarrassed thing.... except for Tail... he wanted to have a clown in the whitehouse...

still trying to figure out what started this thread... the president is embarassing himself (in your eyes) on twitter? what does that have to do with him running the country?

I'm all ears when people have actual concerns about actual policies that have actually been enacted... but all this crybaby stuff over a grown man's twitter account?

what do you watch? or read? who's getting all up in your head about the president's tweets? how do you even know what he tweets?

This is very different. This is constant lies about everything big and small and blatantly provable lies. They are trying to create an alternate reality. Blatantly.

It's not about royalty. We don't have royalty. It is about respect for the office though.

.... he's the president of the United States.
What he tweets is actual news, whether you like it or not.

Imagine, if he were a normally functioning president, like one which had a vocabulary of a high school student, this would be the equivalent to making a statement to the press. But with cheeto boy we get tweets.

It's not news... at all... anymore than obama golfing was news... it's what the "other side" does during their off season... you're enslaved to the liberal news media... you read everything they tell you and then go around and insist that what they've told you is "news"... you're no different than the fox news crowd...

I get that his tweets and the lies they usually contain should be ignored by all but his tweet subscribers and they should be allowed their alternative facts rather than being refuted. The prez should be able to communicate anything he wants to his followers and it should just be acceptable. Sarcasm

here is a non tweet used to drive part of his agenda. And there are many many more examples..... but if you are not watching or paying attention you don't care enough to re litigate the whole list again.

"The murder rate in our country is the highest it’s been in 47 years, right?" Trump said. "Did you know that? Forty-seven years. I used to use that -- I’d say that in a speech and everybody was surprised, because the press doesn’t tell it like it is. It wasn’t to their advantage to say that. But the murder rate is the highest it’s been in, I guess, from 45 to 47 years."

you don't pay attention and are thus not embarrassed. Cool by me. At least you are honest.

Having the white house call the chair of an intel committee to the white house to brief them on something supposedly supporting something the Prez accused another Prez of, then having the committee chair come back to brief the white house on it is definitely clown car-ish.... but if you don't pay attention to it maybe it doesn't really exist

I really don't care about the mechanism of communication. If the President claims something it should be scrutinized regardless of party.

I'm also a big advocate of doing the opposite of what you say Opel. Consume or devour as much news as you can from all sides (liberal or conservative). I watch a lot of Fox and CNN (I do watch Morning Joe on MSNBC as well as Fox and CNN morning stuff but thats about the only MSNBC I watch) but I sprinkle in a few of the papers like the posts, the journal etc. And if you look at my browser history you'd see I am on drudge just as often. then you make up your own mind.

I think folks like SteveS see Trump for what he is but could not fathom Hillary. I respect that. I'm not too far off of that. I don't get the true Trump supporters. I don't understand how anyone could support the hot mess other than the ya but... excuse.

why is that embarassing to you? Even if it was an outright lie, how does that embarass YOU?

seriously, how does that lie get down to where you are so that it can embarass you? Are you afraid some tourists are gonna point at you and laugh?

and how is that lie different than every other lie that has consistently been told by every single president we've ever had?

here are some things to actually be embarassed about:

1. Our countries ballooning debt
2. Laws on the books that aren't enforced
3. 1 in 4 Google searches is for pornography
4. The divorce rate
5. America's obsession with Hollywood
6. Drafter

what I mean to say in all that is, if the president never tweets again I still won't be any less embarassed by this country... he and his tweets - like most all politics - are just another distraction from issues that actually matter... like drafter...

As for the media being the enemy of the people.... nonsense.... but they are biased and always have been. I don't need Citizen Kane and it's repercussions to teach me that.

Perhaps if Trump really wants to make that case he should quit lying about everything big and small and really take it on. Otherwise if he is less honest than them it loses it's effect and really becomes about establishing an alternative set of "facts" to suit his needs and villifying them for the same reason. Sure they are not a very sympathetic crowd but it's still flat out garbage. Starting with birtherism and breitbart isn't really the best way to be the voice of truth and reason taking on the big bad press. Folks hate the press so accept the garbage from him. It's embarrassing.

hard to separate. its why we have him (and before someone else says it... Obama). But I do have a problem with Trump. I hated him before he ran. He is and always will be who he always has been back to the days of listening to his fueds with AJ Benza (or whoever), Rosie etc. I just cant believe anyone actually voted for him, many of which despise everything he ever stood for personally and politically until he just recently switched from D to R. Now he's great.

No no no... my focus is absolutely not on tweets... it's on results, and as I've stated, I'm all ears if someone wants to talk about those... so far it's just been a bunch of crying about a lack of royalty...

And I am not crying.... embarrassed yes, crying no. If we want to elect Carrie as home coming queen because we WANT a clown in office my one vote won't stop it, and it's the way our country works.

If I was to cry it would have been during the primaries when my party failed miserably and nominated this buffoon meaning we would end up with him or hillary. That was sad.

it seems to me you either get one or the other...

you can get a "king" who does all the right things, says all the right things, always takes the perfect pictures, and maintains a positive approval rating... of course, he'll have to accomplish nothing in order to do so...

or you can get a policy maker who's essentially going to be a bully, who comes off as brash, arrogant, and disrespectful, and who pisses off people on both sides of the political aisle and most of the media... but that guys gonna get some stuff done...

I disagree with this completely. I don't think we've really had any royalty in my day. Some romanticize JFK after the fact but I don't know anything contemporaneously about him.

My main point of reference is prolly Nixon forward but have formally studied backwards from there. I don't recall your version of someone being King and doing nothing while everyone loved them. And I am not familiar with anyone Trump resembles.

I don't want royalty but I do want decency, integrity and a little bit of the truth here and there, (knowing a little bit of history royalty doesn't always give us this but can give us the Anglican church LOL). I don't think you have to be a petulant lying child to get things done. On the contrary.
