So, I hear the mail lady dropping stuff in my mailbox, when moments later, there was a deafening explosion. I grab the AR, slap in a mag of green tips, and very careful, and slowly, crack the front door. I am greeted by a giant crater, where my front porch, lawn and some of the street used to be. In the middle, I notice a small object. As I carefully approach said object, I realize that it is a Priority Mail box. Well, I'm not nuts enough to actually pickup something that caused this much destruction, so I call the local Fifes. I waited for what seemed like an eternity. Finally the show up with their bomb disposal robot, which really was nothing more than cousin Floyd, in his old high school football uniform. Each one has on their hip, an old .38 revolver, with a single bullet in their buttoned shirt pockets. After watching this motley crew stumble around for a while, I figured it would be safer to disarm the package myself. So, I thanked the Fifes, and sent them on their way with some Dew and a couple jars of pie. I then grabbed the box and tore it open. Glad I did.

Inside was:

5 Pack of La Palina El Diario KBs (this alone was enough to blow up half the block)
MB 3 Churchill (I'm down to one)
LFD Air Bender Poderoso (oh, ya, come to poppa!)
My Father Corona from '12 (dang, bro!)
Kristoff Ligero Maduro Short Rob (I love me some Kristoff Ligero)
Camacho Triple Maduro Rob - old label (this is an old favorite)

Dang, Horst, you done hit me way harder. This was totally unnecessary, but greatly, greatly appreciated. After all these years, how did you remember my fondness for coronas and robs? Well, anyhow, you hit much harder than I do. Remind me never to pick another fight with you. Thanks again, bro.

Frank, my new place is about 10 miles outside of Mt. Airy, NC. This is the town Andy Griffith grew up in, and based Mayberry on. Everything in the town is "Mayberry". From the annual Mayberry Days festival, to Aunt Bea's Kitchen, Floyd's Barber Shop, Walker's Drug Store, Emmitt's Fix it Shop, the courthouse and jail, and Wally's Service Station. My wife even met the local Barney Fife impersonator. The town and the local folk are rubbing off on me. What can I say? Oh, and the local "shine" ice cream is awesome.

Hope ya likes em DP.
I'm smoking DE bundle #1 as I type.
Wonderful cigar!
To me, kind of an Undercrown meets Jaime Garcia flavor profile.
Too bad they're not in production.

Smoked the Red Label La Palina last night..........always good, with top notch construction.
