In Case of Forum Shutdown?

JadeRose mentions the spectre of them possibly shutting down the forums at some point. Sure hope that doesn't happen but in light of recent events it does raise a good question -- if this place disappeared overnight, where would most ppl migrate? I mean the dirty unwashed masses, not Elite Club members.

I doubt I'd seek out another cigar forum.

I would go wherever my Platinum Membership would be honored.

I paid a lot for it, and I am not giving up on it.

There's little sisters forum............it's ok...........cbid's Facebook page maybe?
After Jade made that comment, I logged into FB ........took a while, since I only go there once a year.......maybe. Holy carp........he wasn't kidding about cbid getting mercked on FB.

I am slowly starting to worry about cbid. Too many factors pointing towards bad ending.
Maybe we should setup our own little forum somewhere?
Some of the guys at little sister did that.

Just get a list going, let people sign up if they want, find one of our techie young guys to set up a free hosted forum somewhere............might be fun.

I post some on cigar afficionado forums but there's way too many pi$$in matches on there about politics. I'm interested in politics but it's not the focal point of my life.

Yeah.....I wasn't kidding. This seems like it's gone beyond a little computer glitch. This place is tanking fast. It's one thing when they just don't ship but when they charge and THEN don't ship? Yikes.....my heart goes out to the Customer Service ladies.

You can get a forum set up pretty cheap. Just find a host that offers cpanel then install one of like 20 different forum software packages on there then change the colors and slap your logo on it.

We can call it, cigarsnboobs.com

I'm confused, does this mean the second coming of CROS will be all over tw's hands because CROS himself has no limbs?

Hey thanks man!

Like TW, I work with the material laid out before me.

If I offended anyone that prays to CROS, my apologies.

Fine, if worse comes to worse I could host some type of forum. Complete with a cool name like rejectsofcigarbid.com or somethinf like that.

I just don't want to be looked at like a gay... matter of fact, don't look at me at all. I am ashamed. Blushing

You have a lot to be ashamed of. Starting with the whole Texas thing. Are you a steer, or a qu-ee-r?

Betcha they don't play smear the queer in the old school yards these days anymore, do they? There was always that one kid who would intentionally hold on to the ball too long and end up with a scrum up his back side... holy crap, was smear the queer just a goal-less version of rugby???

Smear the queer was fun AF, it was right up there with dodge ball...

Unfortunately those games are no longer played for various liberal pu$$y reasons.

Anyway, to shorten JJans name...

cbidrejects.com would be a better domain (cause it's shorter).

Smear the queer, dodge ball, and all boys red rover where only the biggest kids Could be called over...

Played some pretty intense nighttime capture the flag growing up too... once at 3am in the middle of a forest in Sweden... my buddy had to get stitches from that game...

My wife works at a Grade School. She came home one day and told me about an activity a bunch of the 5 th grade (or so) boys were doing where one kid had a ball and others were just chasing him and basically trying to kill him. Of course in this day and age, they all got in trouble cause a kid got a tooth busted or something. She couldn't understand why they were doing that.

I, of course, laughed and said they were playing "Smear the Queer". I told her she could go almost anywhere in the United States and ask a group of men about Smear the Queer and they would all laugh and say....."Yep...great game." She asked what the point was.

Point? The point is to make sure the queer gets smeared unless you are the queer and then it's too avoid being smeared but you always get smeared eventually.

She mumbled something derogatory about the males population of the human species.

Oh, one of the absolute best grade school yard games of all time...

THUNDER DOME!!!

Oh ya, more kids got bones broken from that game than any other.

Awesome game.

For those that don't know, they used to have these giant steel domes that kids could climb on...

Basically, we played king of the hill on it where the goal was to knock all the other kids off the dome, the game was called thunderdome because of the Mad Max movie of the same name.

I was before the Mad Max movies and don't remember if it even had a name but we had the same thing. It always started with some kid standing on top of it and yelling something along the likes of "Which one of you pricks thinks you can knock off here?"
