Maybe she should have asked Russia to find Trump's tax returns.

seems rational, but if we start our analysis by pointing out the bias of the source, as is common in this forum, Townhall is not a centrist or neutral publication. It scores as a right biased source in the Media Bias/Fact Check system.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/?s=Townhall

On content alone, the author makes a persuasive case that Trump's statements to Comey don't amount to obstruction. I agree. The choice of words the President used isn't forceful enough.

But I also think that the President was planting a seed. Consider the context. This was early in the term, before Comey was to testify in Congress... Trump directed the AG and the VP to leave the room before his exchange with Comey. Then, man to man, he lets the director know how he felt personally in a confidential way, about a man who both knew was in serious criminal trouble. It is suggestive and could also be interpreted as an intimidation ploy, given that Trump is the President, and Comey's boss...

Reminds me of a movie scene...mafia boss tells his underlings to leave the room so he can have a private conversation with the sheriff...while talking, he goes over to the pictures of the sheriff's wife and kids and says "lovely family, betcha you love to come home and see their happy faces..." What just happened?

of course - it is a conservative site, make no doubt about it. there are certainly some liberals who write for them but, for the most part, their authors are largely right leaning (at least).

the reason i posted it is because i think it is a fair article that most would discount because it isnt a "neurtral" source. on that note, id be interested to hear what source is "neutral."

aka im suggesting that that method of "analysis" is not without flaw.

18 U.S. Code § 4 – Misprision of Felony.

Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 684; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(G), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.)

One is a pathological liar with a 70-year-history of "alternative facts," the other is Comey.

It is done a lot by both sides, but I really dislike when someone says 'consider the source'.

That's like shooting the messenger. It doesn't change the message. If you have issue with what was stated, offer a dissenting opinion and say why, don't just say 'right/left wing site... bogus'.

Pretty sure once trump is impeached we're gonna find that the dems actually paid Russia to rig the elections in Trumps favor so they could seal the fate of the republican party in order to usher in a new wave of communism.
