Ok any of you MAHoles or anyone interested really, this a first for me. I've never been known for my organizational skills, well there was that one time with the kitchen cabinets, but that's a story for another time.
I had such a great time at frankj1's Herf last week that I thought I'd see if we could do this again. In a different venue but still.......
I'm just putting this out there to gauge interest and see what's what. Is there any interest in a deep sea fishing trip? Like an 6-12 hr all day fishing trip? Or shorter duration trip?
I thought maybe some time in June or July. Anyone interested post here and include dates that will work and I'll see if we can make this happen. Any suggestions as to make this better would be helpful too, maybe some of you guys want to get your buddies involved.
I've done a little research already and prices vary wildly, depending how many people attend, so it's tough to state an accurate price yet.
So let me know who wants to attend and your tag-a-longs, dates that will work best(this could be a midweek trip if you wanna burn some personal time), what length of trip interests you, and any other insights that you think will be helpful.
So that's where we are now, gauging interest.........yep, gauging interest Herfing

Okay guys, Have at it

Weekdays don't work for me. All my vacation days are already earmarked.

I could maybe burn a sick day which would likely be not far from the truth if I spent 6 to 12 hrs bobbing around on the choppy seas.

even The Lovely Caren won't eat it.
I like it, old timers do too, most normal people don't requires some good horse radish.

enough threadjack, back to your op Rick.

I've been out deep where dozens of people dropped lines to the bottom and caught flounder. More recently went out from Falmouth with five other guys and the Captain for Bluefish. Two guys at a time using gear and bait he supplied, and we caught many, threw back a lot including the largest. They told us that when too big they have a "blood line" and not as good to eat.

Got them skinned and filleted (that word reads so wrong) when we returned. Think I froze 4 or 5 and ate them over the next month or so, but I'm the only one in my family that cares for somewhat oily or stronger fish...but they were good.

nasty fish, sharp toofuses. fun day though. Think we went out early October

June/July is out for me as well.

Frank, you want blues we can fish from the beach.
The trick is to pretend you're fishing for stripers.
