My friend Frank claims that Trump supporters were OK with Trump going soft.
I pointed out that he is once again premature.
I never made mention if his words or actions were good or bad.
Trump isn't a victim. Not sure how you even landed there?
Well, actually I do.

I said if I am giddy, it is because his supporters, who were drawn in by his tough talk, are now SILENT, not OK with it. Just stupefied and unable to criticize as they should.
or worse, explaining it away.

had I voted for Trump, I'd be really pizzed at his lamb-like talk and actions now that he has had a chance to confront those that he railed against to get my vote.
Instead, he has behaved in a way that doesn't offend me, so I figured his supporters should be going wild with how they were misled.

To be more specific, I think the leaks from the white house are the most dangerous. I cannot remember this ever happening almost continuously. The reason I think this is so dangerous is the potential loss of intelligence from other countries. As far as the Russians go, we need this cloud to go away. That will only happen if the constant chatter goes away. The way I would like to see that happen is for the special prosecutor to produce an unbiased report. Is that possible, maybe.

So liberal voters would be pizzed if their winning candidate went back on their promises?

You sure you want to hang your hat on that one?

no one seemed pizzed when obama decided he was kidding about the marriage thing between a man and a woman, keeping your doctor, saving the average household $2500 on average, being the most transparent, blah blah blah

i want trump to be more "presedential" so yes, i prefer this form as long as there is eventual action on his campaign promises.

For 8 years you complained about Obama. For at least 4 years we will complain about Trump. Such is the nature of politics.

obama getting elected made me sad
even more sad the second time
but koch wouldnt pay me to riot so i had to put my pants on and goto work

also, i put my faith in no man/woman but Jesus alone so my world doesnt revolve around obama, trump, chelsea/hilary 2020, etc.

I would bet you dinner that I have posted more than once here that I was disappointed by Obama's tenure. So much so that I did not support the Democratic nominee last November...you're calling out the wrong lib.

All I'm saying is that if I loved Trump for promising getting out of NATO and trade agreements and the Iran nuclear deal and stuff, I'd be equally disappointed in Trump and would be willing to express that...but it isn't happening.

But it is happening. Just not to your predetermined level of outrage.

And if you're going to place wagers, I bet that you could find more instances where I expressed disappointment with Trump (in only 4 months on the job) then you did with Obama for all 8 years combined.
I hate his tweets.
I hate the urgency of repeal and replace even though I hate Obamacare.

As for NATO? I saw a headline from earlier today where Trump called out 23 of the 28 nations as "not paying their fair share"* (*tm Squaw Warren)

Your rush to judgement isn't incorrect. It's simply premature. The Donald has 15 more quarters to make mistakes and do good things. Stop frothing at the mouth because of the timetable that YOU implemented.

I hear burnt knishes help with the frothing.

Since I won't be around to read any responses I will chime in on this one:
I don't care who is President. This isn't an easy part of the gig: dealing w/ the Middle East complicated mess of religion, terrorism and politics. No one is gonna
Handle that perfectly. And Trump can't seem to handle his own mail order bride, much less the smaller challenges of office. His routine will be to bluster, threaten, then hope to get ignored while he attempts to shift focus back to more important things like Mar a Lazo.
I agree with MACS assessment of Trump. He is an overblown buffoon who needs to stop acting like a repressed tweenager on twitter and be the fruckimg president already.

Final note: I am not a Trump hater. He is the President, I want him to succeed WILDLY in improving and strengthening this country. I do not agree with all the ways he seems to imagine that is to be done, but I do not wish him ill or failure.
Sadly, I also don't respect him. At all, not one bit. You want to walk the hall of kings? Rise above the baiters and shills. Abandon the foolish fascination with social media. Actively work to remove the circus act feel to your administration. Count to ten before you react to inflammatory things like a 5th grader. Remember that the position you hold is of greater import than your ego.
It's a tall order, but if you want to show you are an improvement and earn universal respect, that is the way.

Off soap box.
