I have contacted cigar bid over 5 times for missing cigars. Filled out 3 service requests, requests were "closed" without any response or cigars. Anyone else have this problem?

That must be why I'm receiving random dog rockets... I've sent them a message over 5 times to quit sending me other people's trash.

They're still digging themselves out of the hole they fell in on Feb 10 (which they dug themselves).........it's now known as the "Amazing Software Upgrade" of 2017.
There are many threads similar to yours.
I thought things were on the mend..........maybe not?

They're still getting negative comments on a daily basis, on their Facebook account. New complaints that don't mention anything about the Feb 10th orders.

I'll admit I'm a Facebook dunce..........but I don't see those posts you're talking about.
The most recent one I see is from May 11, 2016???

If you go to Cigars Internationals Facebook and look at the "visitor posts" section (on the right side of the page) and also the "reviews" section you'll see it. I forgot to mention that it's on that account and not their Cbid Facebook account- but if CI isn't up to par neither is Cbid. Under the reviews section you can click on most recent posts to see what people have been saying lately.

Well, as an actual CI/CBid customer, I know what my experience tells me ... yes, there WERE some rather severe problems and most of us were affected by them ... BUT, beginning with late April and all of May to date, I have seen no evidence of lingering problems ... my orders have been filled same day as placed and shipped no later than following day ... I DO have issues with their use of UPS "sure post" which, for me at least, causes horrible delays in transit that would not occur if USPS were a shipping option ... but that's a policy problem, not one related to the order log-jam that we saw from Feb thru early April ... in the absence of specific detail, I'm still calling bullship on the original poster in this thread and any facebook complainers as well ...

Thanks.............I think.
Yikes..........looks like it's still quite a mess at CI.

Dazed, Confused, and Happy (I guess) all at once.

Around a week ago I decided to jump back into the bidding wars and make use of my 30% off + free shipping coupon.

Wanted to make sure I didn't waste it (the coupon) on one or two items so I bid on a bunch of stuff and lo and behold I won six lots. Don't know what was going on that night but apparently other bidders were asleep or distracted because my winning bids were all a good bit lower than expected.

Now for the best part.
My ship day is Tuesday and bright and early Tuesday morning I get the email notification that my order has shipped. One item was back ordered but no big deal, they'll send it as soon as its available. The real head scratcher is that they shipped everything UPS THREE DAY SELECT. ???

Received my order today and it was all there (except for the back order) and there was even a fiver included from
the Feb debacle. Go figure.

Things are looking up?

That's good news, but why would they put an item up for auction that they don't have in stock? You wouldn't put something up for auction on EBAY if you didn't have it to send- at least most people wouldn't. That said, I'm glad they're starting to ship again.

Thanks to ZRX, I now have a pipe habit (bass turd!!).
I purchased 5 different pipe tobaccos, and a pipe tool, etc., from that place that sells "pipes and cigars", which I believe is also owned by STG.
Anyways, all turned up perfect, and on time.
So, maybe things are finally on the mend?

I think, though this is only a guess, that multiple companies pull orders from the same warehouse and stock is not segmented by company. So an item that was in stock when the auction started could sometimes be out of stock when the order is pulled due to it having previously been pulled for another companies order.

This is true.............but all owned by the same parent.
I think the software upgrade was intended to streamline and organize their "mess" a bit..............they hit a few potholes on the way.

I have been buying cigars from the mothership and their associated companies for almost 20 years, including Cigarbid with no problems. In February that all changed. On February 14, 2017 I purchased a promotion I had received with a cigar order. I am still waiting. I have talked to 5 different "customer service" reps and 3 of them, outright lied to me. Incidentally, I had to wait an unusual length of time on the phone before I got to talk to a rep. No help at all from any of them. They couldn't issue a refund, they couldn't send me an equal amount of equivalent cigars--nothing. They have gone from top notch to zero, in my opinion.
If you look on Facebook, they have lost a ton of customers and they don't even seem to care. They answer none of the complaints on their own Facebook page. The BBB has given them their lowest rating because of all the complaints.
They blame all of their problems on a "bug" in their new computer ordering system. How long does it take to debug?
I will not take the chance of ordering from them ever again.

Customer service from an overwhelmed company.

I was once told by someone in a similar service based company that when things blow up like this, you need to direct your limited customer service to the cases that are easily solvable with expectations of making people happy - NOT those customers that are 100% pizzed and will never be satisfied. Concentrate on minimizing the total number of problems. Solve many small problems and ones for those customers where the relationship can be salvaged. Limit the number of people on your azz.

The customers with big problems are so upset there is nothing you can ever do to make them happy so concentrate on the ones you have hope of satisfying. If the neighborhood is going down in flames, create a perimeter and let the buildings that are too far gone down in flames. Keep the fire from spreading.

I am not recommending this but it is an interesting theory.

I've had no such problem with missing cigars. Have you tried actually talking to someone? Emails are great, but sometimes you really need to get in someone's face.

Hey Cameroon,
I hope you don't chap your lips kissing C-bid's azz. I still don't buy from C-bid or any of their associated companies except their P&C company and then, only small orders.
If you want to ignore the mountain of complaints here and on the Mothership's Facebook page, be my guest.

I guess I always treated the ladies well and when I had a problem, it was always graciously fixed in short order. The past year I have been out of pocket and have not been able to purchase any cigars but I still drop by to see how the forums are going.

If it is a software issue, I know a few elites that are presently avaliable, and actually like a certain Gurkha cigar. Computer glitches suck, that is why I use Linux on every system we have. You can run Windows inside Linux if you like.

I hope the system is straightened up soon. I have been a satisfied customer for as long as I can remember. May be good I did not try and purchase this past year.
