Bill Maher stepped in it too. On his show he told a Nebraska politician the he was a house n*****. This was in reference to Mar working in a Nebraska farm field. Though I enjoy his point of view I do question his judgement with that comment.

Is it as bad as what Kathy Griffin did? I do not think so. Blacks themselves use the term. It was not directed at a specific individual. There were no threats made to an 11 year old child. None the less, I think it was out of line.

What say you?

He's f*cked... what a moron... definitely the best thing that's happened to Kathy Griffin probably in her entire life... he's a blow hard jackass and I think this incident probably shines a spotlight on what he's like in real life...

I like P.I. when it first started, it had more diverse opinions but turned into an evolving echo chamber with maybe one token dissenter. He usually uses some measure of reason in his opinions which is good. But there's always more effort into being provocative than being thoughtful and clever.

As far as the term "house n****r" is concerned, the left has shown us it's acceptable when used to keep a minority on the "plantation".

Its ironic to see griffin crying about being bullied...she's made a career out of taking mean spirited shots at people and then hitting them with the "what are you gonna do about it" attitude. Amazing how she hopes no one notices she's now a hypocrite and asking for our sympathy. It's stilll America and she can say what she wants but she shouldn't be crying when people fight back. On the other hand, sending the secret service after her is also a bullying POS move. Two wrongs don't make a right and her and trump both come out smelling like dumpster fires.

If you had the secret service at your disposal don't you have at least a short list of people you'd haunt?

I do not think it wrong....she knew before she ever filmed this little incident that it would mean BIG TIME TROUBLE ( she herself said she'd have to move to Mexico ) Like they'd want her!!!!and she did it anyway. She gets whatever comes her way IMHO, left unaddressed who knows what's next in the name of " humor "

I hope this ends her "career". Though honestly I could not tell you about anything she has done. After her statements about going after Barron, she deserves whatever she gets. Children are out of bounds and she dam well knows that.
Perhaps she should put on a Burkha, and a veil, and move to Yeman. Maybe she could learn what a great country this is in comparison.

Let's not get carried away, guys. Free speech applies to all sorts of idiots...like Trump suggesting his Second Amendment friends could do something if Hillary was elected President and abolished guns...inciting violence/assassination?

Both are wrong but should we hold comedians to a higher standard than our president?

In this specific case, does it make any difference that Bill Maher and Kathy Griffin are described as "comedians" but are not actually funny ??

Trump isn't funny either, but in my view, he has as much credence as a comedian as do Maher and Griffin ...

Heard the segment in question, I thought it was pretty funny after hearing it actually. Too bad people are so caught up in playing "gotcha".

It's like teedubya is drunk at a bath house with a get out of jail free card.

Frank, Maher's house n was funny when taken in context. There really was nothing malicious about it other than for the PC police. He was not purpousely degrading anyone. He was speaking about himself.

I would never demand PC!

I'm more a say whatever tf you want guy. I admit though, decapitated president skits are probably grounds for early retirement... mob rule... possible time off for Mr. Jones... etc.

You know that isn't what happens.

There is a PC crowd. They claim to be offended, or offer to be offended for others.
They seek out conservative missteps and blunders and they cry foul.

On the other side, the "outcry" isn't that of actually being offended. Instead, they point out the hypocrisy by saying "what if the other side said this?".

An exception to this is the Griffin thingy.
But that dusty hole wasn't politically incorrect. She was borderline threatening and it deserves ample scrutiny.

meh. lead by example and personal responsibility rather than I'm only doing it because you did. "When you do it it's PC, when I do it I'm reacting to your PC....." rings hollow

So somebody slaps your momma every morning after kicking her out of bed.
Eventually you slap that person back.

One may be able to rationalize a reaction, but that doesn't mean it wasn't warranted.
