It's great when you can find'em without spending an hour in transit.

Thats why I don't book trips up north. The "stream" is so far away, you spend half your fishing day motoring.

Thats NOT to say that I wouldn't love to chase them big Bluefins off Caroliney sometime.

Jet; My little brother lives in Homestead, just above Largo. We fish about twice a year from Islamorada. I'll probably go in June/July again (less tourists when it's so damn hot). I also like to go winter/early spring when I can (sailfish). I'm going to Central FLA next month to try for Redfish in the Indian River (I grew up there).

You plannin any trips soon?

I wish ... I used to mate on a boat out of Islamorada a while back. I would love to gaff another wahoo / blackfin / dolfin / kingfish / mutton ... ect, ect. - Miss offshore fishing bad.
