Last year it was an email, 1 per person and it went very very fast so I missed.

Two years ago it was at an event of some sort (or maybe that was 3 years ago) very near to the Xmas holidays and I was out of town.

I'd like to think email but its hard to say. They do what they want ;D I know I got a bottle a few years back. They typically get 1 blanton's barrel a year.

Edit: The event was not the early december whiskey fest. It was a smaller thing at BRL HQ on like 23 Dec or some silly date close to the holidays.

Oh okay, thanks for the reply Nick.

Haven't drunk any of it yet, but just scored a 750ml bottle of Woodford's Reserve for $19.95 at the Exchange using a gift card and a few of my Father's Day bucks. So between discount and no sales tax saved about 10 bucks.

Plus noticed they now carry "EOD Cellars" wine, which is from a buddy's winery and proceeds go to the EOD Warrior Foundation.

Not whiskey.
BUT.

And I'm a gin drinker in that I drink gin and tonics.
But Barr Hill Tom Cat is off the charts.

Amber colored after 6 months in charred oak barrels.
Their base gin is too junipery, but after aging it's wonderful.

Found a really cool craft distiller for gun, vodka, absinthe etc. in California, grapes used for base distillate and masters of aromatics. Most excellent. To lazy to get up, look at the bottle and tell you.

Went out to Alabama ABC site, and, as is typical, it is not available here. May try to find it in FL next weekend.

Had somewhat of a celebratory weekend. Newest grandson was baptized, oldest cub had birthday and of course Father's Day. Celebratory beverages included Whistle Pig Old World and Old Forester Birthday bourbon 2016.

And to top things off, scored a bottle of Basil Hayden rye, Blanton's and Jim Beam Distiller's Masterpiece for Father's Day.

Pretty good weekend all around.

I had a signatory Bladnoch over the weekend at dinner. It was good. Normally don't venture outside of speyside much but this seemed like the best value on the menu.

I think it was this: https://www.klwines.com/p/i?i=1063197

PS GOD DAMN I WISH I LIVED IN A STATE KL WINES WOULD SHIP TO. But i would be really really broke.
