I was going to post this in the cigar thread, but figured maybe some of my intended audience might not look at those threads...

What current posters don't smoke cigars anymore? Just curious as I have seen a couple, at least. You know this is a good place when people stick around after they quit the hobby for whatever reason.

ditto Draftx, I smoke fewer, but generally better quality.
I have learned the hard way which stix to avoid.
I do occasionally still experiment with new ones I spot, just to find Nirvana....but you know how that works out.

Don't even have a clue what that is.

It is amazing how my friends think I know everything about cigars and then I come here and feel like I know nothing. ha

I've been on a month long hiatus.

Swamp rats are the new KFC, fire cured tobacco with a candela wrapper.

Have not had one since around January 13, 2016 when I went to the hospital for pneumonia & they found blood clots in my legs & lungs. Result was asthma, & Lung damage. Although my lungs came back to 91 %, the asthma got worse.
Not complaining, I was lucky.
Still have around 500 or so premium stix that I have been giving to my different cigar smoking friends.
I do miss it but haves a few for when I am ready.

I have cut way back, probably 1 a month. I do find that I savor it more. Also now I only smoke what I know I will enjoy.

Absolutely true for me ... no more chasing a phantom holy grail ... smoke far fewer, but those I smoke are quality ... I've developed a strict discipline and do NOT experiment ... and I'm smoking my pipes again for several years now ... I'd been on a pipe hiatus for quite a few years, but between the two, all the smoking I do is enjoyable ...

Yup.

Cigars when camping, or at racetrack and stuff.

Haven't bought any in a really long time. When my stash runs out, that's it. Maybe pick up a single or two before a camping trip but I don't smoke em daily anymore

More of a weekend/special occasion smoker here...........whenever I have time to enjoy it completely. I rarely have time during the week with my sleep/work cycle.

This thread sounds like :

THE NEW... " I'M A PUZZIE 500..."

I smoke just as much AS before and continue to buy
On a very slow restock program....
As my fundage is very limited.

I smoke average cigars, seconds and good buys when I spot them in the SAMPLER LOTS...
THE ONLY WAY I CAN AFFORD GOOD BRAND'S IS IN THAT SECTION OF BIDDING..

I STILL HAVE THREE full 48 quart cooledors.

Not even true. I wouldn't expect non-cigar smokers to have a stash still.

Paul, I have to admit, it was a good mooch. I think Hank is correct, most if not all who quit or smoke seldom, have little or no supply. They have no use for it.

Ummm.... unless they had several packed humidors when they slowed or stopped..... I have more cigars then I will ever smoke.

Mebbe...but we Americans seem to hold onto alot of chit we no longer use, I don't see folks just " getting rid of them "

I am not going to send those pictures you sent me to the troops. Their jobs are already hard enough.
