gummy it's just your weaving in and out on the Obama thing as if it is similar dilutes things. That is what I am responding to.

I don't think Obama should have been involved in the israeli election. Lets say we did some sort of espionage that we don't know of and the opposition party in Israel colluded or coordinated with that. Then their opposition party would be more akin to what Trump stands accused of.

The obama deflection just doesn't stand up.

not suggesting tomato = apple, just saying the outrage is not (and never has been) consistent. the continued and never ending outrage directed at trump by hollywood, the media, etc is, in my opinion, unlike anything we have ever seen.

but come to think about it, giving gov money to the minority opposition's campaign or russia paying gov money for trolls to badmouth hilary on the internet - which is worse?

its all slime to me

because of who controls the media, i would argue that birtherism never had the airplay that the trump outrage du jour gets and continues to get. i would actually bet that trump outrage has dwindled the birtherism stuff already many times over.

my post didnt mention hacking - it mentioned gov dollars given to foreign campaigns and pimple faced internet trolls

I know it didn't mention hacking. it should have. the omission changed the reality.

give me a break on the birtherism. It wasn't just Trump, and I actually think he gets too much credit for it. It was just one symptom of a large group trying to deligitimize Obama. I think the same is happening to Trump. Dont mistake my words as thinking there are not unfair attacks on Trump. There are. But the never seen before is a sham. It's always more intense when it is your guy. Obama love him or hate him had it just as bad. He just handled it differently. Trump feeds it...not that it would go away if he didn't...but he feeds it

1. im trying to keep up here but i had thought we (and most) were in agreement that hacking is really really bad - and yes i even think it is many times worse when someone else does it to us. the fact that we bug/wiretap our euro allies or china hacks our gov databases or isis hacks the ohio gov homepage, etc etc etc also changes the reality of the attempted russian election (amongst many others i assume) hacks. does not make them right, but at least properly alligns them.

2. i dont mean never before seen as in no one ever said bad things or worked to deligitimize, im saying never before seen as in liberalism owns hollywood, academia and the media (largely) so the trump stuff naturally has a bigger stage. there have been a few "studies" comparing the pure hours certain topics have received on the popular networks. the results are as i am stating. i will try to dig some up. actually i wont, too busy, but they are there.

i gotta get some stuff done so i gotta bow out of whatever this is here (i assume useless, baseless argument and faux outrage as that is what the internet is for - and rightfully so). would be nice to have a smoke sometimes and talk in real life. alas, until then, have a good day.

I'm willing to bet that everybody who gets outraged at everybody else's outrage here on the politics board would enjoy spending time with one another... chit chatting over a few cigars, some nice beverages and then some really great fishing...for the non-fishermen, substitute activity of choice...

MACS and Abrignac and Opelmanta rarely agree with anything I post here and vice versa, but this is just politics...all three are great guys, in person, with much more defining them than their thoughts about politics...we all enjoyed a great fishing week-end together...too bad victor had something more important to take care of...

I had to kill my own mother to be able to avoid that trip. It was either her or me... no way I would have made it back to shore on that boat.

True, we would have tied a rope to your leg, threw over the side and laughed as we pulled you through the water for 2 & 1/2 hours on the way back to the marina hoping that there weren't any great whites lurking about. The best part would have been watching you fight the sea otters off your ass when we pulled into the dock.

You would have made it back, but not without a bruised ego and a few shark bites.

The Russians wouldn't have hacked the Democrats knowing that if Hillary had won the Presidential Election, they could have bought our nuclear release codes by contributing to the Clinton Foundation.Frying pan
