Not a fan of drinking and driving. (In fact one of the main reasons I live in cities only is so bars are only blocks away, and I never have to drive when I go out.) But this is a clever ad... and brings up a good question.

I've not met one person under 45 who is opposed to the idea of seniors having to take road tests.....then again, I've not talked to one person over 60 who agrees with the concept

I think the ad campaign was sorta stupid...but, so was the law. Fortunately, self-driving cars are soon going to allow all of us to get drunk, get old, text, etc...and still get home safely and on time

Stieger I am in my 30's and completely against not allowing seniors to drive. They're probably the safest people out on the road.

I wasn't clear....I don't propose NOT allowing them to drive...but, I do think that license renewals after a certain age...maybe 55 or 60....should come with a requirement to take a road test

The NTHSA disagrees with him, too. They stated that the stats show people over 65 are more dangerous than those who are at a BAC of .05 and under. So they're damn sure not the safest people on the road.

It isn't the guy who is driving fast who is a danger. He has to pay a lot closer attention to what he's doing because of his speed. It's the retards that are not paying attention who cause the damn accidents.

My story is always ... huh...really.

"Sir, do you know how fast you were going?"
"Not sure"
"I clocked you at 90"
"Huh..."

"Sir do you know how fast you were going?
"Not sure"
"I had to go 100 to catch up to you back there"
"Huh..."

My favorite was always "do you know what the speed limit is here?"

.... (I sure as he'll know it isn't 80)...

"Eh... it seems to go up and down a bit between dc and philly... "
