Vic this is what I've been preaching for the past decade. Universities are the worst. They dupe a lot of kids into thinking they can be/do anything. Honestly if you're not going to school to do a specialized trade like Welding, Engineering, Legal, Medicine, Chemistry, then you're pretty much SOL.

A lot of folks say I.T. but that's really hit and miss. You can get those certs on your own without a college degree. It's really not that complex or specialized, you just have to have the time to do them.

But yeah, the American University system is not the glorious, proud, and capable system it once was.

JJ... while I do agree that universities profit from the idea that you "can do anything" that's not started there. That's the American ideal taught to us from our infancy. You can be whatever you want. Follow your dreams... etc etc. It's very libtard of you to blame a company selling a product there is a demand for..

Anyway the concern is that the short busses are throwing away the baby with the bathwater. They don't like that there is a liberal lean to social sciences at colleges so they hate all higher education, including actual sciences...

I was never taught that ideal Vic, I was always taught that if you bring value to an organization they will pay you and you can do what you want with the money you've earned. Others have not been so fortunate.

Sh1t... kids these days are told they can do anything they want. Hell I was told I can do whatever I want. I was lucky because I can't understand how anyone could value their life if they did something silly like underwater basket weaving or sociology or history or art. But don't blame the colleges for being willing to teach these idiots. Blame the parents for encouraging their budding lawyers and news anchors and presidential spokespeople.
