Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov stated to the Russian media/people that during the meeting between Putin and Trump, Putin answered Trump's question about Russian interference and told Trump that Russia did not meddle in the US elections, and that Trump accepted Putin's word.

Glad we got that cleared up.

Trump obviously trusts the Russian President, who Trump sees as a great leader, more than US intelligence agencies, who Trump has referred to as Nazi-like, agencies that have "fake evidence" of Russian meddling...

Nothing like the left spin on things. And not to mention the left has not been concerned about Russia for the past eight years and now it is a BFD.

Who really gives a ****?

Not me.

The good old U.S. OF A has rigged and interfered with hundreds if not thousands of foreign sovereign nations elections...
(I even helped in a few, so I know)

It is an old story...
with NO way to stop it in the future...
NOTHING IS "real",
everything is crooked and rigged,
Along with cash bribes and payoffs, the whole world is a big smoke screen of lies, spying and people meddling in everything they possibly can....

Been that way for centuries
,
So... Dozens of govt. committees and high paid lawyers are going to find the truth...then get paid big bucks to sequester and bury it...

^^^ How can I jump on that $$$MASSIVE CASH
PAYOFF WAGON$$$
^^^ where is the station that it stops at ? So I can climb aboard and leave this poor GRUB MEDICAID and food stamp existence...

Democrats just want to cover their trails from all the selling out they did to Russia so they heated up this intense flame war before the republicans could really get the footing to say that the Dems sold our country to the Russians.

Trump and his supporters are trying to have it at least three ways:

1) He's convinced his base that the Russians didn't do anything...the Russian thing is a hoax

2) He's trying to win over some skeptical and clearer thinking conservatives by saying that if the Russians did anything, it was Obama's fault for not stopping them.

3) He's trying to win over moderates by acknowledging that the Russians did something, but for some unexplained reason, he doesn't want to get to the bottom of it and won't confront Putin...he's willing to forgive them and is bending over backwards to make nice with Putin. It seems he's convincing some conservatives that it is in the US's interests to usher in a new era of US-Russian cooperation.

...all three are inconsistent premises...yet some people are capable of fitting all three into their belief system...

...and Lavrov is a f'n liar...I believe Tillerson's account...but the Russian media has been jumping for joy about how Putin scored so many victories for Russia's goals during his meeting with Trump...

...sadly, an indication of how badly Putin played him, Trump agreed to work with the Russians to develop a cyber-security network...

And you would expect the Russian media to say what? Not like they can create fake news against Putin and get away with it like the leftist media do in the U.S.

That's true. Putin has made many critical journalists as well as political opponents disappear permanently.

Maybe you can help me out: what did the US gain from the Trump-Putin meeting?

Biggest thing gained in their first meeting for the U.S. was convey the message that they the Russians are no longer dealing with a spineless leader who will not lead from the front.

Not really surprised that the left is taking Russia's version of the meeting as gospel.

The one thing I am willing to bet on is that President Trump did not lean in and whisper 'after my election I have more flexibility."

It was too much to hope for...some people are more loyal to their party and their flawed President than to our country...

...the man new to this politics thing, but supposedly a shrewd deal maker, agreed to work WITH the Russians to solve cyber security issues CREATED by the RUSSIANS!!!

...not one of you saw a problem with that, but just trotted out tired Obama excuses...

...Putin and his cronies are laughing at how easily he can toy with our CoC...

in fairness i am pretty sure that we cant take anything that we "know" from any of these meetings at face value in these cat and mouse games. i readily admit that i have no idea. we are not privy to the majority of what goes on or what is being planned.

i just dont understand how everyone (on the left) is so sure that putin is the cat (aside from the media and hollywood and academia constantly saying that). nevermind, i guess i do understand.

To be fair saying they're going to do something, saying it's gonna be great and the best, and then walking back and pretending there isn't video or audio or written statements surrounding what they just said is sort of their MO... it's really what they built their campaign on.

The sad part is trump is a rino who simply figured out how to exploit the Republican Party.

Suggesting we work with the Russians to stop Russian hacking is brilliant!

Lavrov put out a statement that Putin and Trump had many meetings...more than the two that are known...he said who knows, maybe they went to the bathroom together...

Thanks Trump...the Russians are laughing at us...
