I don't know how many years ago it was that I stated this was a bought and paid for website that only backs their own.

Total "fake news" example except this is worse. They purportedly act as a bastion of Truth for the internet and tell you who was lying or telling the truth by spreading their opinions on any particular matter.

I bet TW's head is exploding because that little website he loves to hate...yet doles out some great information you won't read or see on TV broke it out for more to see.

Zero hedge is not a reputable source but that does not make EVERTHING it reports false. It's a simple concept. You outta try it.

The best way to spread disinformation is to sprinkle in fact to give the appearance of legitimacy.

They all have an agenda and motives to not be unbiased (i.e. advertising revenue).

Snopes isn't always right nor is it always wrong. It's worthwhile to question its credibility and weigh its information yourself. It's much more credible then zero hedge however, but the same principle applies.

This pretty much substantiates my take on snopes ... I don't recall the specifics, but at least 10 or 12 years ago Rickamaven cited snopes to refute something I knew to be absolutely factual ... that same scenario has played out more than once since then, including once earlier this year by one of our resident uber-libs again to refute something I knew was factual ...

As you might imagine, the revelation that snopes has the credibility of a pile of steaming horse chit brings a smile of overdue satisfaction ...

conjecture or conclusion based on beliefs of others is not the same as first-hand knowledge ... for example, if I were to say that Nancy Pelosi was full of sh*t, that's different than knowledge ... could be, she's just full of methane gas and simply reeks of sh*t ... on the other hand, if I were to say the sky is blue, or that 2+2=4, that's knowledge and quoting some wackadoodle 'fact checker' that pretty consistently contradicts demonstrable facts doesn't change things ...

... well... kinda ironic you would use the "the sky is blue" argument, seeing as the blue color of the sky would depend on cloud cover, time of day (the sky is not blue at night) weather...

Perhaps if you simply told us what you believe to be a fact which is disagreed with by snopes so we can judge if you're full of methane yourself?

No they are discrediting themselves. FWIW, I never thought taking facts from a cite that dedicated time to a story about maggots in a vijayjay isn't one I'd hang my hat on. Using zerohedge was more for teedubya and his selective fauxtrage.
