How many players don't want to be the highest paid player?

Aim low!

besides...the whole kicking net saga entertained me...I say give him a few more bucks...loved that he went and hugged it out with the net only a week after it had kicked his ass

True so let's talk about hockey. What do you think about Zibanejad's five-year contract? I think we are going to see a younger Ranger's team this season. I like that they signed contracts with Alexandar Georgiev & Lias Andersson. They will be the future of the team. fog

FIFY.................I just saw his interview on NFL Live...........What a tool, he's still riding that one handed endzone catch from his rookie year. One catch is not gonna carry you your whole career.
I'm not saying he doesn't have abilities, he's just not as great as he imagines himself to be.

He's a superstar no doubt. Used to love watching him at LSU. But, highest means most valuable. Don't think that accurately defines his actual worth regardless of his own self opinion.

What is a common phrase said by most people who have placed orders at CBID in the last 6 months, Alex?

What's more concerning is that NFL athletes want NBA contracts. Pure greed is all that is about and it takes away from what the sport was meant to be. Every athlete makes more then they should and the still can't be happy with that. Work a 9-5 and then get back to me about collective bargaining contracts and money issues these athletes have.

Yeah, hated to see Stepan and Raanta go but had to make cap room for Shattenkirk and Mika. The kids were a gamble from what I read but hopefully they develop.

then they better get a union/players association equal to the NBA, and enlightened team owners too.

I dunno....what's the comparative length/career earnings between NFL and NBA? I suspect that most NBA pros play a lot longer. How many WR's play more than 9 or 10 years? There's a hell of a lot of cash flowing into the NFL from gate, TV, merch, etc. Who deserves a high proportionate cut, if not the players?

NFL players bear a much higher risk of serious, life-altering injury every time they step on the field. I feel for the athletes...most of them, anyway. Brain damage is not just a risk, it is a near certainty for all but kickers/punters.

They do lose a fair amount of my sympathy when they try play both sides of the cash grab game -- I don't see how they can claim to need free-market, free-agency, opt-out contracts...but then rely on collective bargains. Don't talk out both sides of your mouth. But, go ahead and get what you can while you're healthy.

I hate salary caps as much as I hate guaranteed minimum salaries.

World's wealthiest industrialists become socialists when they buy a team too.
