First of all, I'm not arguing that they're doing that. I'm pointing it out based on articles in the Boston Globe.
And Harvard is admitting to it, so it's not an argument at all.

If Asians are being excluded, and there are a reduction of whites, then who the hell is being admitted?

I looked at the breakdown...and foreign/international students comprise 12.4% of the incoming class. Then Harvard intentionally mucks up the numbers by doing a demographic composite based on race without separating out the foreign students...so it's hard to tell who is getting the shaft...it's possible white people ARE under-represented if all the foreigners are European whites...the number of Asians admitted is higher than their numbers in the US, but it is not stated how many Asians are foreign/int'l ...

BTW: 22.1% of ALL Harvard students are foreign/international students...

I know several current students and 2 new ones (this fall) that earned their way into Harvard academically.

One of my nephews might attend in 2019, but that's a football thing. He's smaht AND big.

As for MIT?
Those are ALL brainiacs. You can be as dumb as Kennedy at Harvard, but not at MIT.
Of course, book smarts don't always translate. And that may be what you've witnessed.
But that school isn't holding anyone's hand, that's for sure.
