The regular Gispert line sucks. Got a box of 20 of the new Gispert Intenso 6.12"x52 Belicoso for $73 from Cigar.com. Will see if it is as INTENSE as they say and give it what it deserves. BARF! or ThumpUp or ThumbDown

Gispert Intenso Belicoso (6.12" x 52) Box of 20
Mellow gets Intenso

If there’s a poster-child for consistency in the cigar industry, it’s Gispert. The original 90-rated blend is mellow, smooth, and has been around since the original Cuban cigar version pre-Revolution. But now, a new blend emerges with the Gispert name. Gispert Intenso. This handmade cigar is the first Nicaraguan addition to the Gispert brand. And it’s a dark, full-bodied one at that.

Blended by the Grupo de Maestros and A.J. Fernandez, Intenso is made with the medium to full-bodied cigar lover in mind. Each cigar that passed through our office burnt without a problem, dishing out leather, rich chocolate, and sweet spice. The blend is a simple recipe. A Connecticut broadleaf wrapper is met with Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican long-fillers. But the Grupo de Maestros an AJ are some of the best in the biz, making Gispert Intenso anything but typical.

If there's a poster child for being consistently chitty in the cigar industry, it's gispert. When talking about the original blend, we're making up marketing copy to make it seem like this original cuban brand is the same as the crap that was put out for americanos after the embargo. But now a psuedo nicaraguan blend has come that will put more sweat on you than Forrest Whittaker's neck.

Blended by the same chitty people that blen all are cigars, with the addition of another dude who just does OK, the Gispert Intenso is made with Hank-the-Tank and his gay lover in mind. We lit up every cigar before we shipped em so it would have that signature chitty gispert taste. Couldn't tell you of there were burn issues though, we just wanted to make sure they lit and tasted like dishwater with a hint of chocolate. The blend is simple, the mildest connecticut wrapper we have is met with sun-bleached nicaraguan tobacco sitting out for a couple years, then we filled it full of scrap tobacco. But since it was made by GDM and AJ you already know it's gonna be mildy better than anything GDM puts out on their own.

I hate to rip on AJ because he has made some pretty good blends in the past but it seems like he's putting a new flavor out every week.

I feel the same way, and his alliance with General or Altadis whichever makes all those cigars with same names as koobans is disheartening to me. I like a lot of his blends from before last year to.

....well the 6.12" x 52 Belicoso turned out to be a nice smoke. Reminded me a lot of the 6" x 52 Flor de Las Antillles Maduro Toro I smoked last week. Good, smooth M to F flavor. Would I drop $120 on a Box of 20? Hell no. But when they get kicked over to Cigar Bid they will make a nice $3per option. Herfing
