I'll be there if I can - 80% sure. We have a vendor golf tournament that may be that day, but they are still thump wrestling over the date. So if I'm not there I'll be there!

Keep me posted -

All these stupid changes to the forum...

I know we all got used to the initial changes when they completely changed the forum...

But now they are making useless, needless, pointless, mindless, thoughtless, goofy, millennial, metrosexual, liberal, Hillary lovin', dunderheaded, half-baked, nonsensical, airheaded, birdbrained, bonehead, boneheaded, brain-dead, brainless, bubbleheaded, chuckleheaded, dense, dim, dim-witted, doltish, dopey (also dopy), dorky [slang], dull, dumb, dunderheaded, empty-headed, fatuous, gormless, half-witted, knuckleheaded, lamebrained), lunkheaded, mindless, oafish, obtuse, opaque, pinheaded, senseless, simple, slow, slow-witted, soft, softheaded, thick, thickheaded, thick-witted, unintelligent, unsmart, vacuous, weak-minded, witless stupid changes. : - )

(I aplogoze if there was any redundancy there.) ;-)

I just may be cancelling my account here after the Herf in October.

Getting close to retirement... I need to start gearing up to waste my time doing something else.

Somebody back over there contact everybody that was there last year.

If anybody needs the directions and stuff again, I'll put that together and send it out.

Anthony said he really just needs about a week to know how many are coming over.

The date: October 21, 2017, a Saturday.

I'll be heading to Texas next week!

So what is the bird's eye low down on this caper (whatever that means)?

Who's on the list?

Where abouts?

What can we bring?

Are we going to stand for the national anthem?

Is Drafter going to eat 72 ounces of steak?

In 45 seconds?

Should we tip the vallet?

Will there be smoking, drinking and foul language (let's hope)?

ringsize (Jon) brought crème brulee last year.

Don't recall what others brought.

Everybody brought cigars.

Bring any libations you want. We'll have beer and a limited selection of 'booze'.

We will stand for the anthem... and we can get fenderbendertex to play it on the guitar.

brewha - location notification sent.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
I get off work here this morning as soon as the day shift guy gets here.
I'm gonna head down to the Vets Hall on the way back to the room.
Gonna smoke a coupla breakfast cigars, Blanco Nine toro and Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff robusto
... and quaff a coupla breakfast beers.... prolly Kona Longboards.
Gonna go back to the room for some shut eye
and then..........................

I'll be on vacation until November the 10th!!! Blink

Been working 10 hour and 12 hour shifts 6 days a week for a few months.

Heading out before long. Wandering around the room here trying to remember all the stuff you have to do to get ready for traveling.

Got cigars, passport, thermal underwear (for that 60 degree weather over there!), clothing, drugs, toothbrush, clean linen on the bed, took the trash out, hauled my bicycle up here into the room, . . .

.... and Travel Orders! Don't forget your Travel Orders!!

The hard stuff... Dayquil, Nyquil, Vivarin, Naproxen Sodium (<- since I've discovered this, I haven't had a major gout flare up in a long time!), Tums. :-)

I basically have no allergies out here on the island, but back in Texas, with the warm October days, the Ragweed will still be shootin' out deadly killer spores!

So, Anthony just sent out this email to some other local friends and said to pass it along here.
He mentions showing up around 4'ish, and I said 3'ish....
So, you know, somewhere in there.
Bring a 'side' if you like... and booze, or not.

Cool

------------------------------------ .
Hey, folks! Our good friend Bennie Smith is in town from the other side of the world, and we're hosting a barbecue, get-together, and herf at our house!

Where? --------------------------, Texas.

When? We'll start at about 4 o'clock or so, on Saturday afternoon, October 21st.

I'll take care of cooking the meat - ribs and brisket - and folks are welcome to bring a side if you like.

Please let me know if you're planning on coming, so I can make sure we have food and refreshments!

Thanks, folks, and looking forward to seeing everyone!

A
