True Colors ( Not black and gold....JUST BLACK ) Tomlin instructs 100% participation in not going out on the field of play for our National Anthem. One player refused to play their RACE GAME. =d> =d> =d> =d> =d> =d> =d>

I'd fire his ass and every one of them that stayed in the locker room if I were the owner.

So good of you to play the race card.

You do realize that until 2009 the teams generally were not on the field during the national anthem and that the NFL receives millions of taxpayer dollars from the Department of Defense and the National Guard for patriotic displays.

This has what to do with what? Oh and nice SNOPES copy / paste

As far as tax dollars spent on that by DOD / NG....not suprised. Not sure I condone it but....can YOU think of a time where such a large audience is all in one place @ the same time both TV viewers and those in the stands?
Good time for some recruiting dollars to be spent yes???

Is there still 52 cards in that RACE DECK ..hell yes I'll play until the insanity STOPS!!!! The game of racism is not for people of color alone...all races get to play...fun isn't it? SARC

English is NOT our official language here either, but what language do you speak Julian???

If Tomlin told Villanova not to be on the field for the anthem Tomlin should be fired.

He ( Tomlin ) said and I quote..." we expected 100% participation " he seems to think that simply not coming on to the field FOR THE ANTHEM.....is somehow different than " kneeling during the anthem on the field " In his defense he didn't seem to be on board with this display of anti-patriotism but stated that whatever they ( the players ) decided to do ( kneel on sidelines or stay in locker room ) he wanted 100% participation...so YES he was pissed that AV didn't follow suit.

Paul, Tomlin should be ashamed of his mandate. Also AV'S team mates have no right to expect him to not show his patriotism.

The Steelers lost to the Bears.
The Chicago Bears!
Yes. They're still a team. Who knew?

Anyway, the Steelers LOST to them.

Tomlin wants 100% participation to disrespect the anthem?
How about 100% participation to play the game?

Villanuevo, the military combat veteran who had to make a decision to leave his lockerroom and his teammates behind in order to show respect to the Flag he risked his life for, has the top selling shirt in the league since yesterday.
Meanwhile, too many PUNKS still cry and moan about Trump.

Newsflash Einsteins: You won't be fired because of the President.
But you might be fired if you continue to suck at your job. Which isn't kneeling. It's playing football. Something lost on you this weekend.

Trump was beyond an idiot for what he said and what he tweeted.
But that doesn't mean he wasn't right.

Actually, I saw a report saying he has apologized to his team for making them look bad.
He apologized to Tomlin, too.

The guy is my new favorite player.

he did what he believed in as an individual and as one who has proudly served, yet also stated respect for his teammates and others in the league, both players and owners.

Which differentiates him from the other disrespectful SOB's and their coach who sat in the locker.

Of course he did ( may have been asked to do so ) so as not to rock the entire boat...or in this instance entire locker room. He made life a bit easier for himself Fo Sho and for that I don't blame him.

When these over paid SJW's start demanding something be done regarding the annual routine slaughter of Blacks in Chicago by other Blacks....then they'll have a mssg worth listening to.

Think about what we're saying here.

The guy apologized because it may have appeared that he disrespected his teammates.
By respecting the Flag and the Anthem.

Let's let that sink in.

a few of the nfl players started the divisiveness
but because their "cause" is a media darling they were heroes
now real heroes are told they are dividing their team and being subtly called out by their coach
and anyone who speaks out against the kneelers is the divisive one

can this just all go away? there are people being beheaded in the streets in some countries and we are going round and round about this foolishness.

To be fair... the protest was because those protesting believe people are being unfairly shot in the streets in this country.

So to try to minimize it by saying people are being beheaded in other countries is a bit disingenuous...

That's the point of a protest. If everyone agreed with them there wouldn't need to be a protest.

He apologized.
You saying he didn't mean it?

He apologized because of his actions. Or more to the point, how his actions may have appeared to others.
And his actions were (get ready for it): Respecting the Flag and the Anthem.

No spin.
No twisting of the facts.
Just pointing it out.

No drama required.

You forgot unfairly shot by WHITE guys....if shot by another Black....isallgood.

Pointing out that a few Blacks are wrongfully killed by a FEW bad cops ( some happened to be White ) but blaming ALL LEO's is REALLY disingenuous.

No the point IS...there doesn't need to be protesting @ all. Not @all. How many of these whiners are actually doing something other than complain? For FREE on national tv. I'll bet NFL sponsors wish they could get their messages out there....for FREE.

... you are once again wrong. Good thing you're used to it.

The protests are also against black people being shot by black cops.

I'm glad you're convinced there doesn't need to be any protesting.... if only they had asked you first...

Hey guys... tcby isn't inconvenienced by the issue you find to be a problem... May as well cancel the protests...

To be fair, the majority of those who knelt this past weekend didn't know what they were protesting. They just knew that Trump tweeted something against NFLers who kneel. And then they all took it personally. And called it racist. And, well, Trump.
