KFC ... Kentucky Fire Cured

Kyoto ... a petite lancero 5.5 X 34

I had 15 minutes to kill ... so decided to try this quick smoke.

Pre-light aroma of burnt firewood.

A pleasant mild and woody smoke.

Well rolled and even burn.

I liked it.

The cole slaw is not as good as it used to be. I think they cheapened it some how. The gravy is still made from pencil shavings though.

None of the products are anywhere close to what they used to be back when the Colonel was still in charge ... after he sold to Heublein, it didn't take them long to start making changes that would increase profitability ... the Colonel openly bemoaned the fact that the chickens were vastly undersized and the potatoes and gravy more closely resembled wallpaper paste (he really said that), they quickly squelched him, pointing out that they legally had him by the balls and that by contract, any public statement he made had to be positive ... after a word with his legal team, he went to riding in parades smiling and waving but making no more public statements ...

Subsequent owners have not improved things ... RJR, PepsiCo and now Yum Brands have done nothing to make things better ...

Man, you got that right, I remember back in the day it was an awesome treat. Now it just seems very bland from what it use to be. I have to agree with the Colonel, It does closely resembled wallpaper paste

Dude, if you are herfing down a petite lancero in 15 minutes, yeesh. To each their own, but you may want to slow down a bit, it's a cigar, not a cigarette.

I would not call it a petite Lancero .......more like a micro petite....it's narrow like a cocktail straw.

Haven't had KFC in a good while. Down here in Houston we have Hartz chicken buffet. $8 gets you all you can eat chicken, fish, strips, gizzards, livers, gravy, slaw, and all the other fixins. Oh, and the chicken is hand dipped, giant pieces. :)
