I think it's absolutely delicious that ole kappy is enjoying the fruits of his own labor....his future is HIS PROBLEM. What is it with LOSERS almost always then writing a book . Clintorious comes to mind as one of the more recent ones.

For fun I checked... Trump "wrote" 24 books.

That's a lot of losing...

To further debunk your theory... (if the hodgepodge of irrational disconnected thoughts that rattle around in your head could be called a theory)...

Why do you automatically assume that kapernick is a loser?
Another argument could be that he took a stand on an issue and was extraordinarily successful at bringing awareness to the issue... I mean... people who would normally never think of black lives matter are whining about it constantly in cigar forums. That's attention to an issue that no amount of money can buy. Did that have a negative impact on his career? Sure. But does that actually make him a loser? If a football player sacrificed their career for an issue you cared about you would probably call them heroic. But here, because you're a bitter, sensitive snowflake, you're calling him a loser.

huh?

Even you should probably accept the idea that those very opposed to his refusal to stand during the anthem might consider him a 'loser'

Loser has two definitions...
I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that he was referring to it in a literal sense, as he was also referring to kapernick's career tanking. As in... he lost at his attempt to become a great football player.

I suppose it's possible that he was just using the pejorative, like our moron president does... and just calls anyone he disagrees with a loser. If that's the case then my above statement is irrelevant because he's using the term regardless of actual success....

It's like you get bothered by every little thing. Goddamn snowflakes.

Rosa Parks this dimwit isn't...mmmmkay?

This LOSER...yeah, LOSER made it to the NFL...to a Super Bowl...then decides or is it listened to his racist girlfriend...I dunno and don't care anymore because it's changed more times than what he's protesting about! He WALKED away from the game that was paying him millions and went flapping to the media...well, nobody wants that kind of cancer in a locker room! If they won't let Jesus Tebow in they sure aren't going to let this assclown in either! Talk about distractions when a player's head is supposed to be in THE game. He did it to himself. Nobody but him to blame. Yes, he is a LOSER. A LOSER that wants back in the game and is willing now to BEG for a spot...he even stated he'd stand for the Star Spangled Banner and went back on his word on that too! He is a LOSER. The shame is you want to defend it and can't see that he is a LOSER.

kapernick is a loser?.... I would not say that he is a loser in the truest sense of the word but, I would say that he is a moron. So much so that if you could put Kapernick's brain in a humming bird, it would fly backwards and suck a mule's ass thinking it was a morning glory. Gonz

Keep in mind when I say "moron" I mean it in the truest sense of the word from its original meaning from the early 20th century (as a medical term denoting an adult with a mental age of about 8–12): from Greek mōron, neuter of mōros ‘foolish' Or we could even go with the informal meaning which is "A stupid person." ThumpUp

Not that anyone here would not know what I am trying to say. The definitions are there just to cover all the bases. That way other morons do not feel they have to try and read between the lines and figure out what they think I am trying to say. Brick wall Yes, I brought my crayons today so I could draw simple instructions for some so they can also understand. Sarcasm

Now where the hell is that Ice Cream man. I want a brown mule and a Nutty Buddy dang it! Anxious

For a different perspective:

Disrespecting China's national anthem could result in three years in prison

We once supported protests by average people fighting for freedom and liberty and democracy...remember how we celebrated the brave man who got in front of, and faced down, a line of tanks at Tiananmen Square in China in 1989?

I fail to see the "oppression" that Colon Kipperdick is "bravely" facing down ...

But, on a serious note ... whatever the merits of black folks being oppressed, respect for their cause cannot be achieved by disrespecting the United States ...

Ya, I'm pretty sure if you could give the kneelers some truth serum and ask them why they are kneeling, the number one answer would be "because my buddies are doing it".

Further, if you could do the same thing with kapernick himself, his answer would be "because my girlfriend talked me into it".

Ya, they're killing football because some dumb broad, and that is the truth.

After a poor 3rd quarter earnings report, Papa John's announced a drop in earnings which also caused almost a 10% drop in their stock price today. The stock is down almost 30% from Dec16 and the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning is pissed!

Is it wrong to consider playing a short on PZZA and potentially profiting in a small way from boycotting the NFL this season?
LMAO!

It's a shame the franchise and small business owners have to pay the price first, over a protest displayed at an inappropriate time.

Whooooo man, John Schnatter's net dropped 70 mill in just a few hours. Yeah I bet his ass is on fire. What would really show me a thing or 3 is if now that they have dropped the NFL if his Net + doubles in the next few weeks.

If that happened the short should be John Schnatter rolling around in a garden of cash and saying, " This is what happens when you get behind the people and dont bite the hand that feeds you ! Papa John's " I would laugh my ass off. Beer

Disabled Navy vet refuses to receive award from Saints over national anthem protests

A disabled Navy veteran said Wednesday he declined to accept an award at a New Orleans Saints game due to the controversy over players protesting during the national anthem.

The Saints organization was going to honor retired Cmdr. John Wells, the executive director of Military Veterans Advocacy, with the Peoples Health Champion award during last week’s game in New Orleans, according to The Advocate.

He told the organization he was unable to accept the award at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome because of the anthem protests. Saints players have been seen kneeling before the anthem and some continue during the national anthem.

“Although I am touched and honored to be selected for such an award, the ongoing controversy with NFL players' disrespect for the national flag forces me to decline to participate in the presentation,” Wells said. "I am unable, in good conscience, to enter an NFL stadium while this discourtesy prevails. Since this award is tainted with the dishonorable actions of the NFL and its players, I cannot accept it.”

Wells served in the Navy from 1972 to 1994 and afterward became an attorney concentrating in military and veterans law, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He was set to receive the award given by Medicare to senior citizens who have made significant accomplishments.

The Saints said in a statement Thursday they were disappointed by Wells’ decision.

“We will not allow Mr. Wells' decision and subsequent media appearances to distract our players and organization from continuing to honor and support our military and veterans. We, as an organization, have decided to move on from this sad and divisive discourse and focus our attention on supporting our military and veterans.”

Each NFL has protested in some form during the national anthem since President Trump’s comments about Colin Kaepernick prior to Week 3 of the season. Trump has encouraged owners to punish players who kneel during the anthem.

Cmdr. John Wells, I commend you Sir!

The saints stated “We will not allow Mr. Wells' decision and subsequent media appearances to distract our players and organization from continuing to honor and support our military and veterans." LMFAOOOOOOOOOO Lip service for sure. The actions of kneeling says very much otherwise. If this statement is true then get the players off their damn knees.

It is not by what one says that I base my thoughts and decisions for that is just a small window. It by ones actions that you get to see the full picture. If you say one thing then do another then the whole thing is BS by design. It also is not only BS its a LIE. So, with the statement above, if the players are still getting on their knees during the Anthem then the NFL is still full of BS and Liar's.

I guess next week they will call out some female that has done good deeds for battered women to give her some recognition award then go out and see how many women they can disrespect and piss on. Then turn right around and say Oh but we Honor women who do good deeds cause we gave her an award. WTF..... STUPIDITY at its best.

China extends national anthem 'disrespect' law to Hong Kong

In the past few years, some Hong Kong football fans have booed the national anthem during World Cup qualifiers and other matches, mirroring protests in the United States where football players knelt during the national anthem, a practice denounced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

China passed a new law in September mandating up to 15 days in police detention for those who mock the “March of the Volunteers” national anthem, a law that also covers the Chinese territories of Hong Kong and Macau but was not immediately given a legal basis for enforcement there.

The National Anthem Law, which went into effect on Oct. 1, has now been included in an annex of Hong Kong’s Basic Law, or mini constitution, state news agency Xinhua said. It will also be included in an annex of Macau’s Basic Law, Xinhua reported.
