Had wells FART-go back in the early 90's when I first came back to the US from overseas. I despise that institution.

As soon as I was able, I got an account with Navy Federal Credit Union and could not be happier.

Wonder if it's long-term capitol gains or maybe I'll just hold onto it as part of my estate and hope the death tax has been repealed. Al wouldn't like that. Angel

chortle...we'll let that one go, but only because you're a hot-rodder...

we can't have the wealthy class hogging all the money and then handing it off to their undeserving do nothing off-spring, creating a perpetual ruling class...although I'm in favor of eliminating the estate tax for small fortunes, say under $5 to 10 Million...

Whenever I go to the ER at the local hospital....
(I am on Medicaid)...
I always get a $1.00 co-pay bill about 6 weeks later...

I always let that "buck" billing ride for 8 + weeks...
Then park at the Elks Club ( for free) and walk down 3 blocks to the hospital billing office...

I pay the $1.00
"Hospital bill" with a check...

Then , invariably...about 8? Weeks after that,
I recieve a $1.00 refund check from the hospital...

This^^^ has happened over 3-4? Different times...

That's awesome. I just received a check from a CC company for "overage" charges on my account. Came to a whopping 0.20!

Maybe if we combine our new found wealth we could buy a couple puffs off one of those Behike.

This is a perfect example of what's so broken in America.

Your "compensation" isn't even worth the paper it's written on.
That check is basically a get out of jail free card for the wrongdoers
and the act of signing/cashing it consummates the relationship.
I would at least hold out for some lube. Call CS Monday. Just to f*ck with 'em.
Tell them there's a typo and they need to recut it or the bank wouldn't accept it.

Sorry, no offense, Pecker, but I just noticed something that made me chortle openly (nod to frank)...

Why would DED take advice from someone who calls himself "Peckerhead"?

but ...your suggestion was solid...

starting a post with "no offense, Pecker..." is difficult to take seriously.

noticed you've been using the thesaurus lately.
