I can honestly say I have never read that publication.

My reaction when seeing that headline was the same... I laughed.

Well I would not expect any better from Grossly Questionable magazine, or is it Ghetto Quality magazine? I can't remember what the GQ stood for. Anxious

When's the last time anyone here thought of GQ the magazine?
But now we are.
This is genius.

I used to read the Gentleman's Quarterly but Art of Manliness does it so much better.

Assuming the country is divided left/right about equally... I'd hardly say irritating half of your potential buyers would be a good business practice. Then again... who IS buying that magazine? What is their target demographic?

Rich white dudes? Yeah... brilliant.

never read a word of GQ...but is it possible that much like Time Magazine's "Man (person?) of the Year" it is not a designation of greatness or even goodness but rather designates the person who created the most news? Newsworthiest?

I recall hearing that Hitler won one such yearly award from Time.

Is it also possible that the most vocal cbidders are not part of GQs target audience?

If they're in business to make money, it would be foolish not to want to appeal to more than one demographic.

Now get off my lawn. fog

They know their target populations better than you lawnmower man. Triage. Why spend resources courting a group you will never get as customers.

Seems pretty brilliant of them....
Their normal audience probably doesn't care and doesn't even notice... and a bunch of schlubs here are talking about them more today than they have in the past 10 years....

If even one of you clicks over to the magazine, they make $$ on the advertising revenue....
