Yep been on the site for over a week now and only picked up one or two items. Maybe it will get better when the weather gets cold.

There again I don't see the quantity of the Ligas? Am I missing it or just getting blind in my old age. Pretty good price for a box, even for a 5er but sucks for a single.

It's hard not to overbid when you first discover this site. I'm guilty as charged but the examples in this thread have made me feel much better about my recent bids. Some of these are so bad that I find it hard to believe.

Welcome! We're glad you're here; people like you keep the site operating for the rest of us. Don't worry about getting the best deals; you do you. In that spirit, do you mind if we call you Putz?

1. Select cigar name.
2. Right-click, "Search Google for..."
3. Set max bid to 30% MSRP.
4. Lose most bids.
5. ...but when you win, you win big!

Welcome! And thanks, Sacajawea! It's about time we got some women on the board.

I can see that, like most women, you have no clue how math really works, but that's OK. Hustle back from the kitchen with a few sandwiches and we'll all be fine here.

Per Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacagawea

there are alternate spellings. The "g" spelling is typically used by communists, fornicators, and people who put catsup (see what I did there?) on eggs. Not that I'm here to question anyone's lifestyle choices.

Just looked at some of the links you posted... any thing over the starting bid is an overbid. Quit bidding on that chit :)

Last Wednesday ( not today 11-15) I saw some great opportunities to bid on...
I made around 70? Low to very low bids...
I won about 6? Of those bids ( some were 2 or 3 each)...
It was a good haul for around $150 including $14 shipping and $9 bucks in tax...got some very good smokes and deals...

Its my new strategy...wait till Wednesday and bid low on SAMPLERS AND QUICKIES... everybody wants to wait for Thursday and bid all the rest of the week...
SOMEBODY TELL D.P. NEWELL about my new strategy...

nope, I wouldn't bid on those padilla '68 blends. Not any amount. here is what I snatched last night as a generic order to smoke in between my Casa Fernandez, Perdomo, & CLE stock...

Ten Ave Maria for $19
20 Box of 5 vegas A for $22
My father for $6
5 Vegas Gold for a buck.
and decent cheapos to burn while I masturbate like Don Rafael Mexico * HC White for $1.20per.

Closed 11/15 Ave Maria St. George (Belicoso) - 10 Cigars 1/1 $19.00
Closed 11/15 HC Series White Shade Grown Churchill - 20 Cigars 1/1 $28.00
Closed 11/15 Montecristo Pilotico Pepe Mendez Toro - 5-Pack 1/1 $16.00
Closed 11/15 Don Rafael Mexico #57 Robusto (20) 1/1 $25.00
Closed 11/14 Don Pepin Garcia My Father No. 4 Lancero (Single) 1/1 $6.00
Closed 11/14 Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Robusto Grande (Single) 1/1 $5.00
Closed 11/14 5 Vegas Gold No. 1 - 10 Cigars 1/1 $10.00
Closed 11/14 Crowned Heads Luminosa Toro (Single) 1/1 $4.00
Closed 11/14 5 Vegas Series 'A' Apex - Box of 20 1/1 $22.00

nice price on the MF lance.

snagged the robbie HC white last week for around $.75 a pop, but i guess if your using it to masturbate, the extra 2 inches and $.65 is worth it you to you. but maybe a local produce store could get you a better price on a cucumber thou

Speaking of overbidding, what in the fresh overpriced hell is this. Note the lack of question mark.

Except that you're NOT speaking of overbidding, unless you can provide a link showing that sampler goes for less at retail. Otherwise you're just sh1tting up the overbid thread.

Which, if you had the wit to have read the thread before posting, you would actually know.

IDK, cam....Mr. Squared may not have stumbled upon the stupidest cbid auction, but I gotta admit that willingly paying 5+ for any one of those cigars is pretty sad.

Yep, 2 bucks would be a good price, $3 would be fair, $4 is too much, you got robbed if you paid $5.

But this is not the crappy deal thread, it's the Overbid thread. Look at the prior examples. If you can't buy it for less elsewhere, it's not really a classic Overbid.

Overbids aren't dumb, or a ripoff, they're literally insane.

True......but a certain percentage, not insignificant I might add, are simply a case of the pic not matching the description. I know one is supposed to "know" the rules about pics, descriptions, etc., but many don't.

Lots of overbids where some poor slob bids something stupid on a fiver, and the pic shows a box.
Heck, I fell for it long ago on Muwats........pic showed a 10 pack, but the bid was for a 5- pack.
Lucky for me, my bid was a lowball bid, and some poor sap came along and outbid me.......he prolly thought the same thing!

OK, for those cases -- which you are right, make up a decent % of true Overbids -- change "insane" to "totally hilarious."

No clue what the blend is, but looks like nobody is biting.

First time I ever saw a 200 count with only 1 buyer after several days. Notice in the text how they are bragging that the bid price is going to go up :)

Was it an email special? Searches don't bring it up. That price is below market, so not necessarily an overbid if someone like's 'em. I haven't bought a CAO in many years.
