WTF makes any male, not a man, think he can grope a woman? Apparently there was never a real man to set an example for the treatment of women and men for that matter.

I agree. Nothing to do with Stuart Smalley, let him roast, but is anyone else concerned that just the accusation seems to be enough? Could this become the new McCarthyism?

Indeed. It seems every day more accusations fly for sexual assault.

IMO - if it was over 10 years ago, you had ample chance to say something, and the statute of limitations has run out. Not to mention the probability of being able to prove your case.

It seems highly suspect. Plus it was a chick, and I thought he was gay.

It might be again like it was about 30 years ago there were strict lines in most offices infer of lawsuits. Our company used to have training for all employees. Being in the engineering and construction business we had quite a range of characters. My last job we and a Manual for Sexual Harassment, the title always cracked me up.

I think the harassment of women has been overshadowed by an emphasis on LGBT rights as well as antiracial discrimination concerns.

If not, he soon may claim to be. LOL

I'd bet a good sum some political straggliest has already suggested that idea to Franken.

Barely touching her body armor was certainly in poor taste, but calling it groping is a bit of a stretch...and certainly not sexual assault imo

Seems there is a logical concern now that just an allegation is all that is needed. Pretty easy to make a claim against whoever you might oppose without being convicted.

Agreed but the concern is still valid and one I share. There is a guilty until proven innocent mentally that concerns me. Nothing to do with this jack ass.

Maybe I'm overly picky but I see a distinction between the photo and her description of the "rehearsal"... the photo doesn't look to me like anything. In poor taste, dumb... but definitely not sexual predator activity... he's making funny faces in front of a camera... clearly he's not doing it for sexual arousal. It's still harrassment... but that doesn't look like predatory behavior, just immature behavior. Not any different than photos you guys may have of you teabagging friends when they pass out first (you all have those too right?)

But what he's accused of during the rehearsal is much worse. That smacks of forcing someone to do something they aren't comfortable with for your own perverse needs.

Now if also like to point out that he has apologized immediately and appears to be contrite.

I wasn't there and didn't see all the pics, but yeah... OTOH, in a real workplace, i.e., not Hollywood/New York, he would be so fired.

Oh I think it's definitely a firing offense (not really any firing that can be done, but if it were a real workplace I'd say fire them)

So, a harlot accuses a senator of going too far and offending her. While they are doing a USO show. Eleven years earlier.
And he apologizes, and she accepts it.

But——- the Senator is a Democrat. So the POTUS starts a tweet war upon him. Trump, who has 16 female accusers, spanning decades, admonishes Franken. But remains silent about Moore - ‘cuse He’s a repub.

The conservative right is endlessly doing the “look over there!” trick every time more of their of dirt comes out.

A beautiful young woman who worked in the mailroom at a district I worked at 35 years ago unbuttoned her blouse and flashed her boobs at me, in front of two other women. She was wearing a lacy white bra and was well-endowed. I enjoyed it then. She apologized and I told her it was OK. Can I claim she harassed me today?

I would like to enter a plea of “corruption by peer pressure”.

Also, she was a Playmate and told Stern she would like to try anal.
Perhaps not a full on hoe, but no angel. Besides, if I called her a tramp I would have confused people.
Oh, and she works for FoxNews. Which might qualify her for harlotship on that alone......

I said she was a woman of loose character. I did not actually call her a hoe.
Even though she works with Hannity.

The anal thing was just what I heard. I suppose it don’t mean much to some. Some might even like it. Maybe you have a soft spot for anal.

Nope. Just like the teenage boys doing the hot teachers... they're not scarred for life, they're rock stars at school and lucky as f***!

Dude, what do you have against women who like to slut it up a little?

I thought liberals were pro sexual freedom and anti-slut shaming.

In this case, I would say no harm no foul...

BIG announcement tomorrow.

Walk the plank Al.

Your party is calling for your head.

A wave of Democratic senators have called for their colleague Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., to resign.

Sens. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Kamala Harris of California, Patty Murray of Washington, and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin were the first to say Franken should step aside in what appeared to be a coordinated release late Wednesday morning. Franken has been accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by a series of women during the past month.

After the initial statements, the first seven female senators were joined by Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters of Michigan, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Michael Bennet of Colorado, Ed Markey of Massachusetts, Maria Cantwell of Washington, ****** Durbin and Tammy Duckworth of Illinois, Patrick Leahy of Vermont, Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall of New Mexico, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Tom Carper of Delaware, Jon Tester of Montana, Cory Booker of New Jersey and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York.

Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Angus King of Maine, independents who caucus with the Democrats, also called on Franken to resign.

Earlier Wednesday morning the latest accuser had stepped forward, saying that Franken had tried to forcibly kiss her, an allegation Franken denied. Wednesday morning also was the release of Time magazine’s Person of the Year, which went to “The Silence Breakers,” women and men who had stepped forward about being sexually assaulted and harassed.

In the wake of the calls for his resignation, Franken tweeted that he would make an announcement on Thursday.

Last month Franken said he was “embarrassed and ashamed” because of the allegations but looked forward to getting back to work. The Senate Ethics Committee announced in a statement Nov. 30 that it had opened a preliminary inquiry into Franken’s alleged misconduct. Democratic Rep. John Conyers resigned from Congress Tuesday after a series of sexual harassment allegations.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez also added his voice to the chorus, tweeting that Franken should step down. Were Franken to resign, his replacement would be selected by Gov. Mark Dayton, a Democrat.

Roy Moore is still on the ballot in Alabama, he has gotten full support from Trump...many GOP Senators originally pulled their endorsements and urged him to resign and the RNC withdrew its support of his candidacy when the first accusers told their stories...more women have come forward and the GOP have all said they have no reason to question the women

And yet...now the entire GOP is fully supporting Moore, a man accused of child molesting and sexually assaulting numerous teenagers, and hanging out at malls and around high schools cruising for girls...saying he is better than a Dem...

If the GOP is urging the Dems to call for Franken to resign...why not Moore? Molesting a child is WAY more serious than groping an adult...isn't it?
