I just clicked the private auction link on the homepage of the site... just weird that there's only one bidder.

This peaked my curiosity. I'm assuming this is not the regular Don Carlos #2, so what is this?

Pretty sure that's just the regular Don Carlos Belicoso.

I wouldn't pay 25 bucks a piece for them, pretty sure you can get them for about $10 - $12 bucks a piece.

I remember I got a few Eye of the Sharks for like 13 to 15 (don't remember how much, but I know they weren't 25) from a local before... smoked em all:(

Okay, thanks for the info. I thought maybe it was something that I wasn't familiar with since they paid 2X retail.

I recently picked up an Eye of the Shark from a local for 15 bucks. Looking forward to trying it.

I think that these went for 17-18 at my local last year. Better than EOTS but not by a significant margin.

^^^^ Yeah but didn't you read the description?

"A tasty little Petite Corona made from the floor sweepings of Drew Estate's savory Liga Privada No. 9. At play, the same dark and oily wrapper leaf teeming with rich and savory nuances from the trash on the Rolling floor from the bottoms of peoples shoes, and a mixed-filler combination of the same aged Dirt, Worm chit, Chewing Tobacco Spit, Dog and Cat Chit with piss that our employees walk through every day on their way to work. Oh and some Nicaraguan long-fillers. Expectable comparable levels of trash in this cigar according to the FDA, strength, and some non-satisfaction.....but in a shorter, bit-sized format for morons to over bid on."

Some just can't translate a sales pitch like they could back in the day. Now the goofballs fall for the BS hype. World full of idiots.

First off I am a newbie and let me say I love this site. Just started smoking sticks in Oct 2017 on my anniversary vacation to Cancun with the wife. Some lil guy sitting in front of his store rolling them by hand and they all looked the same and oddly enough, tempting. So I took a leap and said "What the heck, why not?" I was hooked. With that being said, I have spoken with some friends and they have tried to school me on a few things. One being the over bidding issue. How do you know if you are or not? If one chooses to pay $10.00 for a stick because they really want it, and someone else doesn't is that wrong? I do see how doing that can cause higher prices later on. Just curious.

It's the same thing you should do for anything you buy and particular for things that you buy often..........................

COMPARE PRICES !

I agree, one should compare prices. They variety is so vast, some probably get anxious. I have a preset limit of what I am going to spend. Win some, lose a lot. But they will come around again. Thanks for the reply. Have a good one, stay warm. Freezing our butts off here in Waldorf Md.

And that is why we have an overbid thread.

Welcome! I assume with a name like that, and your using foreign slang like "sticks." you must be from Merry Olde England.

Last night a couple of azzhats swoop in at the last second and buy all the lots for $33 & $35 per 5er. Checked the daily Joe special this morning at the Mothership and it's 10 for $49 with free shipping! Instant karma.

Clearly the auction is for a whole box since there's no way they would've gone to all the trouble of reformatting the site and not change the deceptive way in which they used to represent singles and 5 packs with pictures of a full box of cigars....

I have noticed this one to be an issue as well. Why pay 10 dollars per single Diamond Crown Maximus Toro, when you can pick up 5 for 47.40?

Are we sure it's catheter camera?

Maybe he's stalking some poor woman named Cathy?....

.... oohhh... ruggysgirl was a Cathy... maybe he's here trying to hunt her down. She avoided all 13 of his cameras....

He's probably banned, I told him to bomb the ladies with goodies like victor did, but I don't think he listened.

I think he was trying to figure out if I was a rat or not in PMs (not sure why he would think that about me, I talk more sh17 than most lol)...

Pretty sure he got banned after he called that one dude a chomo (or what ever he called him).

Haven't heard from him much since.

I have noticed some increases in bids as of late, LGC's are up across the board, I got 2 5 packs for 15.00 week before last, and today a box went for over 4.00 per cigar

I am watching a free fall RP sun grown Maduro Box, waiting for my paycheck to hit the bank, I would rather pick up a box at 130, than pay 160 in bidding.
