Most days, if you watch one and then the other, Fox News and MSNBC, it seems as if we are living in two different worlds...FOX does all the puff pieces on Trump and takes shots at his critics, and MSNBC does all the critical and negative stuff...

For better and less biased reporting, just watch their local news (local NBC and local Fox stations, not the national syndicated "news/opinion/entertainment" shows) and forget about the opinion flinging talking heads...

If you just watch Fox, Trump is the greatest ever, restoring American values, working for the average American and making America great again...

If you just watch MSNBC, Trump is the worst ever, a racist who is making America less safe, less influential and a laughing stock to the rest of the world...

and the roles were reversed under obammy.

I remember long ago el rushbo saying long ago its better for him with a D in office. More entertaining. the entertainment news orgs have the same issue.

In one world, the Russian investigation is a made-up nuisance and a waste of time and money, a conspiracy to discredit Trump and divert him from his policies...it should be ignored...none of the findings, so far, are important or indications that Trump has done anything wrong...

In the other, the Russian investigation is an important matter that tests the core of our sovereign democracy, and should be thoroughly investigated to determine the extent of how a foreign adversary influenced an election and whether it received any help from the sitting President.

As opposed to during the time the non citizen was president.

If in the end the investigation finds Trump and his clan did nothing wrong I say we accept it.

#107^ TW, absolutely...it will show that our process of self-government is a solid and well-conceived foundation that is more important and stronger than any one individual, and one that can withstand outside attack...if/when the findings are announced, we need to shore up our electoral process to discourage any further outside influence.

You finally get it.

Foxnews is one big op ed.
They're pretty straight forward in regards to that. They wear their bias on their sleeve and then invite spirited debate. Sure, they stack the deck in their favor, but Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly et al aren't pretending to be Dan Rather.

Meanwhile, CNN, NBC and their liberal brethren DO pretend to be actual news sources.

Give me the actual Fox, rather than one in sheep's clothing.

No not “finally”. Fox being an enraged op ed nothing short of a truism.

But consider the preponderance of Americans think that theses “opinions” are facts. Or even news.
Lot of low brow folks even think a one sided conservative monologue is balanced (as conservative do) and in terms of treating news subject matter “fair”. It prays on the stupid.

Now I will grant you that the approach of “I’ll tell you what is right and what to get mad about - never mind the facts” is a hallmark of conservatism. And many just love it. But it should have a warning label on it....

Typical left, someone does not agree with your side then the name calling begins.

So they are "low brow folks" because they don't agree with you and buy into the sewage spewed daily by the left and their many left leaning news outlets.

Just for the record:

Oct 31, 2017 - TV Newser

"Fox News won the cable news ratings war yet again.

The network defeated rivals CNN and MSNBC in total day and in prime time both in total viewers and A25-54 news demo in October 2017. This victory means that Fox News is the most-watched cable news network for a whopping 190 consecutive months.

Not only did Fox News defeat its cable news rivals, but it finished as basic cable’s most-watched network for the 16th consecutive month in total day. FNC finished No.2 in total prime time viewers across basic cable, falling short only to ESPN."

What do ratings have to do with it? The Kardashian’s get good ratings. Trump is in to ratings but they have nothing to do with credibility.

Not really, it is clearly easy to see that there are way more low brow folks on the left than the right. Do the math, total the viewers for CNN, ABC, NBC and MSNBC vs FNC. The left wins hands down.

But what is really amazing is that you post an OP that is based on a lie and then you want to call the right out for allegedly doing what the left has done so well for the past nine years.

No wonder your party is in the **** and wondering in the desert.

You try to make the argument that because more people view fox news, that it is somehow not "low brow". Note, there is no logical reason to assume that number of viewers is in any way linked to being "correct" or "not lowbrow" or any other characteristic other than "popular".

In this post, after Brew then stated "chess is more popular than checkers" you reverse your initial incorrect argument that (and I paraphrase) "fox is not low-brow because it's the most popular news network" (an incorrect logical conclusion) to now state that "the left is lowbrow because there are more total viewers for channels I deem to be the left equivalent of fox".

You make so many irrational assumptions in this quote that one doesn't really know where to start. But the clearest point is that you wrote two posts which state two completely opposite, and BOTH completely incorrect things.

It's almost amazing in its failure as an argument. Thus your failure in deductive reasoning.

You failed in the first post, because you incorrectly reasoned that popularity and "not lowbrow" correlate.
You failed in the second post by simply reversing your statement and reasoning that popularity and "low brow" correlate.
You failed in the entire thread because you posted both sides of that argument one after the other.

And that's ignoring the many logical missteps you made in even coming to those irrational conclusions.

Technically everyone. It's an amorphous statement used by politicians to demonize the other side. If you were to really drill down into what the speaker intends, you'd find that anyone and everyone has an agenda, including the speaker. They just want to claim the other side is the one with the agenda so you won't question what they're doing.

Victor,
Once again you have confused me with someone that cares about your words or opinions. Just to make it perfectly clear again, I'm not that person.

I do feel somewhat sorry for you though if you are as big of "AH" in life as you are on this forum.

Maybe you should speed a little time in self reflection and less time spewing venom from the mountain top and looking down your nose at others.

Chill out, tis the season to be jolly?

Perhaps if you didn't post two completely conflicting and both completely incorrect statements in an attempt to make an argument that one entire set of our population is "low class" I wouldn't have to correct your statements in a manner that apparently hurt your sensitive feelings.

As for the season... I stopped caring about christmas when I became an adult. It's another chunk of time people seem to want to not accomplish anything during. Why anyone would be jolly about that is beyond me.
