I gotta agree with dsteig on this. not really sure how discussing surrogacy or even asking them to be a surrogate (this is implied in some statements apparently) is necessarily that bad. I mean, surrogacy isn't usually as exciting as it sounds... Basically uterus rental... If it's acceptable (don't know if it is) to ask coworkers to donate a kidney then I don't see the issue. Maybe an abuse of position over them, but sure as h#ll isn't any sex involved in it. (The news media understands that you don't get to have sex with the surrogate, right?)

But the thing I find odd is his very very immediate resignation. Makes me wonder if there is something more he doesn't want them to find out in the investigation... but with him resigning, it seems unlikely we'll get anything more on that.

well, there are sex surrogates as well.

But seriously, I wondered the same thing Victor. What was the rush to resign?
Does an Ethics Panel investigation (or whatever would ensue) immediately end?
