Anybody ever had any of these? There are several places with "closeout" prices on them including 99 cents a stick (in bundle of 50) for the 4.9 x 52 Piramides. Reviews seem to be all over the place for BV sticks but this might be winner to put out at a big annual charity golf tourney I help with if they don't explode or make you pass out.

They've been out of business since 2012 I think.

I've seen a lot of them from time to time at about a dollar in various vitolas. I never felt a strong need to try them, though.

Its pretty confusing actually. They were in business, then out of business, then in business again now I think out. My guess is these were all sitting in a warehouse somewhere until some sort of bankruptcy/liquidation/buyout proceeding was completed and somebody actually wound up with clear ownership of the stock to unload.

I'd recommend avoiding them... Much earlier this year I had bought a large number of boxes of the Buena Vista EL '08 Larga on closeout to send to the troops via another site and every box of cigars had some level of beetle damage. The vendor replaced them, no hassles. The replacements... same thing. They ended up giving me credit + extra for the troubles.

I suspect the damage happened before they got the cigars, so there is the possibility that any and all of these boxes out there, even from a different vendor, could be damaged or infested.
