I've been a double edge safety razor guy for most of my adult life.I spend about $20 every 2-3 years or so on a 100 count of Feather New Hi-Stainless double edge blades. All that multi inline blade stuff is malarkey in my opinion. One sharp quality blade provides a much smoother and more comfortable shave.Pair this up with some Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood shave cream and you'll never look back.

I've tried all of the razors from the store; Mach's, Fusions, etc. Even had a top tier electric at one time. The Executive from DSC is the best shave I've had. Also about half the price as the others from the store. Highly recommend.

DSC is 2,4 & 6 blades. And yes. It’s a great deal. Hell of a lot cheaper than Gillette & Schick.

I have yet to find a good razor that does not get caught on the wrinkles of my sack. Nair burns like a MF, and Hot Wax Oh hell naw.

I might have to give these guys a try.

I ordered the Executive handle and four cartridges.
Figured I would give it a try as the bi-monthly math was real good.
If I don't like the razor, I will cancel and be out the $1.06 I paid for the introductory order.

Bwahahah I did as well J. I figure with myself and 2 women that live with me it would be worth it. Still waiting on my order though. I put in mine back when this first came up. I got the nut butter and some other chit. Also got the butt wipes for my son because at the age of 22 he still cant wipe his ass properly.

Mine are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow . . . well within the 3-5 day window that they promised.

I just checked on mine. Because I hit that Limbo window when I ordered which was late on the night of the 23rd that put my order in on the 24th. I just got an email saying be ready its on its way but still no tracking yet. I had just shaved last week so it's all good. That way I can really put um to the test when they do arrive.

Agree with Whistlebritches on the double edged Feather blades.

Don’t know about Taylor products, but there are plenty of local options on premium shave soaps. Goats milk soap is nice and a great deal at local farmers mkt.

At the age of 15 I had to switch to sheers due to the fact most blades I have ever tried will not cut for me. Even with the high end sheers I can bog them things down and that chit hurts. The set I have now works well but sounds like a vacuum cleaner running over a pile of finishing nails when I run it through. A bic blade I can have dull as a butter knife in 2 strokes no matter if it was single double or triple blade. One of the many perks of having hair that has the tensile strength of steel. I have missed the luxury of a good old fashion shave. The only way I could get an old fashion shave was to use the old straight razor with brush and shaving mug, even then it was a pain in the arse to keep the blade sharp. The best shaves I ever had was at the old school Barber shop with the hot towel pre shave to try and soften up my beard. Now them places are not in existence anymore around here. It has been a long time since I have shopped for blades such as this so we shall see. I figure if not then it still saves me money and the time for the ladies in the house.

I should probably look into DSC further considering I am going to be spending a fortune on the Mach razors since I started shaving my head. They only have two good shaves in them and I usually shave 2-3 times per week. I try to stick to 2 just to save some cash.

I need to figure out what I spend per blade of the Mach 3, considering I buy in bulk at a wholesale club. If I get the Executive 6 blade, it is 2.25 per blade and 1.50 per blade for the 4 blade option.

Does anyone know if the 4 blade option is any good? Is it comparable to the Mach 3?

Also, opinions on the Harry's product?

From the review that I have read say it is a little better than the Mach 3. The fellow doing the review shaves his mellon as well as his beard. He had given time for some growth to review also followed up a few months later a couple of times and he ended up staying with DSC and dropped Mach3. I of course don't know personally but going to find out.

Also just FYI I can get the 6 blade for 2.08 per instead of the 2.25. ThumpUp

Been using a Mach 3 and Edge gel shaving cream for years. If it ain't broke... don't fix it.

Tried DSC, and Harry's. I don't like them. The Mach 3 shaves well and doesn't cut me.

I get my Mach 3 blades for $2 each and when I have a coupon, it is like 1.75. Not sure if is worth the change when I know it works and I like it. Have read a lot of reviews saying that the handles with DSC are trash and break very easily...ehhh

My DSC Executive razor was FINALLY delivered today.
I don't have a heavy beard, so I didn't shave for 3 or 4 days to give the razor a little more of a challenge.
Nice smooth shave. No pulling or cuts, and the handle is not NEARLY as cheap as some have said, although I have not dropped it yet.
First impression is that I like it just as much as the FUSION I've been using.
Now let's see how long the blades stays sharp.

Got my package today. The ladies was lined up at the office door.

They both had to hold and feel the handle and commented on how they liked it. Now if I could just get um to say that when holding my other handle. I have been putting off shaving since Christmas Eve for this to arrive. If I can get a full shave out of a single blade I will be tickled to death.

Wife is going to be pissed though. She hates it when I fully shave but its all good. Grows back in a day or two so she will just have to take one for the review.

OK I just got to use my DSC stuff. Here is my thoughts on first time use.

I had a weeks worth of growth plus a full beard. I did not trim nothing with the sheers. Jumped in the shower and went full clean shave (beard and mustache with nothing but the 6 blade razor. It has been ages since I have used a razor like this.

First I will say, Do not bare down with this razor new out of the pack or you will take some raw meat with it lmaoooo. The blades are super sharp IMHO.

Typically when I would shave this way back in the day, it took 3 or more razors, a whole pack of the cheap bics if I used them. I would have very irritated skin and my face looked like I stuck it in poison oak with huge red raised welts and blotches for at least a day.

With the products and razor sent from DSC my face is clear, No blotches, No Razor Burn and it only took one razor and did not dull the least bit throughout.

My beard was at least 3 inches long, When I would rinse the razor all hair came out no clogs, I didn't have to beat and tap the razor to get the hair out. First time in my life I have ever seen a razor not clog like this.

The shave butter and post shave stuff WTF ever its called I dearly love. Since my stroke colognes, aftershaves etc take my breath. This stuff did not do that.

My face has not been this smooth since the day I was born.

I do not have that tight dry skin feeling that I typically get after a shave like this.

For the cost, effectiveness, and convenience of it showing up on my doorstep I will be sticking with DSC.

I do appreciate you pointing out DSC FGM.

I've used Dollar Shave Club for a couple of years now. Have to shave daily to allow a mask to seal on my face for work. I have bounced back and forth between the 4 blade and 6 blade a couple of times. They are both great. The reason I keep going back to the 6 blade is because it has 5 in line and then a trimmer blade for close detail work, which I like for keeping straight lines straight. The wife uses them too and says they are great for her uses.

Either way bouncing back and forth every once in a while gets me a free handle when I do so that is nice.

If you try them I personally recommend the shave lather over the butter, but I seem to be the odd ball out on that one.

This ^^^

My daughter gave me a nice kit for Christmas. So far no nicks or cuts. Currently using the shaving soap it came with, just takes a couple of extra minutes to whip it to a lather. Been using Personna blades, when I run out in a year I will try Feather.
