He did sports for KOMO Channel 4 in Seattle from the mid 50s for 8-10 years before going National. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Agreed. LOVED his playcalling. None of the crap that goes on now..."His wife's cousin's favorite yogurt flavor is lemon and their favorite color is yellow." garbage that goes on now. Madden with his crazy pen all over the place and yelling whatever nonsense went on. I've turned off the volume to NFL games for decades with NO loss whatsoever!

I did like him though. Called a fair game..ALWAYS!
