New job is kicking my keester. Retail, Christmas, and low man. (Or woman) only about 38 hours a week, but I estimate that every day I work is a minimum of 12,000 steps. I wasn't wearing a tracker, but on one day, I think it was close to 30k.

I may be too old for this.

Feel for ya!

I was able to get a job at Costco, thought my visits to the gym 3-5 times a week most of last year would have been great training for walking, lifting, twisting etc.

Problem is I was placed in security, I man the exit door most of my day-standing in one spot!

Killing the knees.

Occasionally I work at the registers loading carts as well as perform security walk where I walk through store checking exits, coolers, eye wash stations; general safety tour. Love those as I get to move around.

It's an important job but the door can be a bit of a boor, can handle that but the standing in one spot is a killer plus.

Happy to have it now that Sams is closing near us and we will be flooded with new job applications.

Advil and Jack Daniels helps!

I'm sure that Mrs. Tank and MACS will adjust to the adverse conditions at work...both are sturdy people...

I hope so. It'd be nice to have a set schedule, but it changes from week to week. Monday's are the worst as those are truck days. I start by spending 2 hours manually unloading the truck, followed by 3 hours of box opening, sorting, and assembling. then i can take my lunch, then move on to my two departments for more opening, sorting and pricing. Inventory this week means we'll have to kick some major butt getting it all done in 1 day, what usually takes 2-3.

(sigh) this is gonna hurt.
